Recipe Directions

1. Put the flax-seed in a large bowl and set aside.

2. The remaining ingredients, put in the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into the flax seed and mix.

3. Put in the dehydrator (preferably Excalibur) using Teflex sheets and spread the mixture all the way out to the sides, about 1/8th inch thick. Score with a spatula to form two inch squares.

4. Dehydrate for 12 hours, turn over, and dehydrate until crisp.

I don’t crave bread at all as long as I can have these little beauties.

This recipe is based on a recipe by Elaina Love, Pure Joy of Living Foods, but I have made a few changes.

I made these yesterday, the only thing I added was one whole jalepeno pepper, seeds and all. These are delicious and I would definately make again. I was not able to score them, they were very goopy, so as a result, was not able to cut into neat squares after they were done. Next time I will cut them after they have set up a bit and then continue dehydrating them. Yummy!!!!!

Today I made this recipe with this change and it was really great. I put 2 tsp of curry powder and a pinch of cayene instead of the Italian seasonings. I also put in the Jalepeno that Hleva sugested and it was wonderful!
