There was a thread in the forums on rituals. Well, Irish soda bread with sharp cheddar cheese and tea is a Sunday morning ritual here. So in my experimenting with breads that non-raw folks would eat, I tried this variation of a zucchini bread recipe I saw on the onion bread discussion. It satisfies the breakfast...

Recipe Directions

!. Grind your sunflower and your flax seeds in the coffee grinder. Mix with a bit of salt and the cinnamon and nutmeg.

2. I put all my carrots and squash in my food processor and chopped furiously!

3. Throw all in a big bowl and mix well with your hands adding in the banana for real fun squish factor (kids might like that part - I know I do) and craisins. Then spread on your parchment/Teflex and dehydrate overnight. It is soft and slightly sweet.

Note:

Play with your seasonings and taste before dehydrating! My craisins where frozen, fresh, organic, cranberries that I had in the freezer. I thawed them cut them in half soaked them with some dates and dehydrated them overnight! Or just use raisins and soak them while preparing the other stuff in the various grinders and choppers.

It satisfies the breakfast sweet bread part. I'm working on the sharp cheese part.

This one is a great breakfast for me. I spread the bread with Amazon Bliss and make a sandwich out of Mango and Papaya, OR banana drizzled with cacoa bliss. I'm just trying a batch with pumpkin seeds and dates for a change. Thanks so much for this recipe!

This sounds great! I've been looking for a softer bread recipe like this one. Yum!

Should the carrots and squash be blended until it's a smooth consistensy? or should there be more like tiny pieces?
