Poemomm's Thoughts

By poemomm

This rice is as close as you’ll come to real fried rice.

It’s got the right balance of mouth feel and taste, and it was a winner here at the house, even with Mr. Picky.

You’ll find this serves 3 very generously, or four with a side dish.

Feel free to serve it very cold as a salad, or slightly warm, as I’ve suggested, for an authentic Fried Rice.

What a lovely looking dish! I miss Chinese food on the raw food diet, so I've been trying to develop more Chinese entrees. :)

this was very good. i put in too much parsley so it was a little "green", but the recipe was fast and easy and it was a filling and very tasty meal.

ok, i just used 1T of tamari. it is good but was better immediately when it was finished. now that it has had time to sit and the flavors have blended it has a slight fermented/alcohol-ish taste. i didnt use lemongrass or garlic (im garlic'ed out). any ideas?

Ana (my wife) made this today for lunch, but she changed something. I think that she added carrots, walnuts and sunflower seeds to the FP with the onion and the other ingredients. It tasted really good, almost like real rice!!

I think i processed my cauliflower too much :( It didn't turn out as good as I had hoped - it still had a good flavor b/c of the lemongrass and cilantro. I'll have to look for asian spices and try it again!

Tasty! We only had dried cilantro and parsley, but it was still great. We'll be making it again with fresh herbs soon.

Tasted great! Didn't have sesame seeds but it still turned out. I used fresh peas and loved the extra little crispness of it.

This was VERY good. I didn't have ginger or lemongrass and it still turned out great. I would reccommend it to anyone!
