I was dying for something creamy, sweet, and rich one day (like every day!) and i love thick drinks.

So i decided to make a sesame milk with a twist.

I have never blended coconut cream with anything before, and this was a very pleasant experiment.

You could probably add less water and make this a sauce for fruits or vegetables, or even as a salad dressing.

I personally like the little date bits at the bottom. :)

Enjoy!

This looks delicious, and amazing. I am going to have to make an exception with the sesame seeds (I am fruitarian). There's only a tablespoon so I don't mind a little indulgence. Where do you buy your coconut cream? If I were to make it myself, would I make it with young coconut or mature coconut? Thanks

PS about the coconut oil I hate the flavor too. It's just to oily. Well, who would like the taste of oil? lol I mean it's great in some recipes but its horrible on its own. It is a good skin lotion though.

Also, I might use a fresh jujube instead of the date. Might be interesting, no? It will take me a while to get some sesame seeds but this is now in my recipe box.

I noticed on another site you bought cashews from Azure Standard. I can't tolerate them either. I was wondering the same as you in regards to them being raw. I can't stand the smell of them. I like coconut oil...but can't stand coconut meat or coconut water in anything. My son and husband loves it.

I loved this, so easy and lovely. I used coconut oil but it worked great, and I used unhulled sesame seeds which worked great too!

Thanks for the link - I'll check it out. A jujube is a fresh fruit also called the Chinese date - so I thought it might be interesting evne though I haven't tried one yet. But I'll probably just use a date for now. :)

Oh I LOVE being fruitarian. It eases my digestion so much - and I really love eating unusual fruits like fresh figs, guavas, coconut, durian etc etc. But what I love is that you don't have to eat entirely sweet fruits - zuchinni, bell peppers, other squashes, tomatoes, and avocados are all actually fruits, even though they're not sweet. All fruits have seeds - so the listed ones qualify. I do eat spices, and supplements too so I don't know if I'm a true fruitarian but I can't live without my E3Live! Probiotics too, and enzymes.

I just cannot digest nuts, seeds, grains, and such. They are very constipating to me and some others too.

http://www.thefruitpages.com has some good information, and join the group on Giveittomeraw.com called "Fruitarians" if your interested.

Sorry my reply took so long - it seems like I haven't had much internet time lately.

i am glad that i am not alone withe oil aversion! tropicaltraditions.com is where i get all my coconut stuff. they describe in detail the processes used to make each product. and they have fantastic sales all the time.

i am not too familiar with jujube, but if it is a sweet fruit it will be lovely i'm sure. and tell me more about being fruitarian...

coconut cream concentrate is sold by tropical traditions and i believe it is blended coconut meat and water. it is a thick paste and is heavenly. i bought some of it when i was just getting into coconut stuff. its not cooked at all, the site says that their products may be exposed to some heat while in transport.

hope that helps.

and by the way, am i the only person in the world who doesn't like the taste of coconut oil? i put it in smoothies but i really can't lick it off the spoon. i really want to like it!

I think of coconut cream as the water and meat blended together, but I can't be sure that's what the author meant.

I'm wondering the same thing...

I am familiar with coconut water, coconut milk, and coconut oil/butter. Is this one of those, or something else, entirely?

Sounds good, though!
