Fresh herbs and tart seasonings with chocolate are a fresh take on this traditional dish. This creamy, spicy chili will leave you satiated and content.

Recipe Directions

Dry sliced tomatoes in a dehydrator for 12-18 hours.

Pulse the following veggies in the food processor until finely chopped; mushrooms, corn, bell pepper, carrots, nuts. Put the veggies in a bowl and add the shallots, avocado, 1 Tbsp cilantro, and 1 Tbsp green onions.

For the sauce, blend the following ingredients in a food processor or blender; Sun dried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, avocado, jalapeno, sweetener, chocolate, olive oil, green onions, salt, garlic, fresh oregano, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder, cumin, lemon or lime juice

Blend the sauce in a food processor. Pour sauce over the base, mix well and serve. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper for a hotter sauce.

Serve warm, topped with chopped cilantro.

Sounds great but could you tell me if it is 1/4 cup of mixed walnuts and brazil nuts total or if it 1/4 cup of each one. I am going to try this later.

Use 1/8 cup walnuts and 1/8 of a cup brazil nuts. This recipe can be prepared in 30 minutes - it's very quick and easy, despite the long list of ingredients. Enjoy the chili!

Ohh my Gods! A friend made this and brought me some today! HOLY COW! This isssssssssssssssss sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo GOOD!!! Going out today and buy ingredients!

I meant to post back to this before I left out of town but didn't have time.

My friend who made this for me didn't mix the ingredients in a food processor she just cut everything up. After making it both ways I decided that I liked it better just chopped up except for the sauce. The way that Winona makes it is more like a chili though but either way it's simply fantastic! It's a staple dish for me now. Thanks Winona!!
