Recipe Directions

1. Carefully open the coconut and scoop out the "meat."

2. Take the papaya, I suppose you can use mango but as you can see papaya looks like the "yolk" and is softer, carefully scoop out and shape like "yolk"

3. 2 Pieces of Dulse marinated in olive oil which will make it hard, crunchy and give it the "fried greasy bacon" taste, marinate dulse in olive oil

This recipe looks like bacon and eggs - the bacon really taste like bacon too! The saltyness of the “bacon” should be eaten first then the sweet papaya/coconut compliments and soothes your palate.

This recipe is young coconut carefully scooped out and cut with ceramic knife into oval “fried egg shapes”, papaya carefully scooped out and again cut with ceramic knife (keeps it fresh, prevents oxidation and metal contamination and is easier to make precision cuts I ONLY use Ceramic Knives for this reason it makes everything much more fun), dulse marinated in olive oil this makes it crunchy, hard and crispy like “fried bacon.”

This recipe will actually lower your cholesterol instead of adding to it!

But scooping out one big piece of coconut is not easy, be careful! It take practice to carefully use a spoon and you have to sort of "scrape" evenly all around to get one big whole piece of young coconut to come out, then with that one big piece you can then easily cut 2 oval "egg shaped" pieces...

Ok cool thanks! Just be careful opening the coconuts, and try to scrape out the whole coconut in 1 piece. I used a Papaya for the "yolk" I used a spoon to carefully scoop out a circular "dome" then I used my Ceramic Knife to cut the "dome" in half to make it more flat like a yolk and I used my Ceramic Knife to cut the round egg part. The Bacon is just SeaVeg.com Dulse marinated or coated in olive oil! Enjoy! I will try to post more new Raw Recipes soon! :D

Cute idea! (although it is not the "first" - there are several other "eggs" and "bacon" recipes that have been on here for a long time). Bryan, I think your recipes are great but could I request for you please not to advertise your products or business in the recipe description. I think to do it in your profile is sufficient. It is just sort of distracting and a big waste of space and not really what the recipes section is for.

Hint the cupcake only has 2 ingredients! Keeping it simple is best for digestion, easy, again no dehydrating and takes a few minutes, no nuts in this recipe, no soaking needed and has "sprinkles" !

Oh I buy my Dulse from local health food stores! http://www.seaveg.com makes the best one, it's around $4 a bag and is organic, very good quality, MOST health food stores and Whole Foods Markets sell it or you can contact them directly hope that helps! Thanks for the Sesame Oil info Angie! And thanks Joannabanna I invent totally new raw organic recipes everyday, for it is a lot of fun and people enjoy it too. It is one of my totally new recipes from my new raw organic recipe book the 3rd Edition and series in my Popular RAW IN TEN MINUTES recipe books. This new one titled 5 Star RAW Spa Cuisine with Chef Bryan Au has even more super fun easy raw organic recipes taht are still all under 10 minutes, no dehydrating, and TOTALLY NEW like this Bacon and Egg recipe I am inventing totally new never before seen raw recipes, a lot of people asked me for "no nut" and "no dehydrating" recipes so I am coming up with a lot more! My main website: http://wwww.RawInTen.com people can pre-order 5 Star Raw Spa Cuisine with Chef Bryan Au for only $20 now, later on when it comes out it will be $30 here is the direct link: http://rawinten.com/five_star_raw_spa_cuisine.html

Rapunzel brand makes "cold pressed & unrefined" sesame oil. If no one sells it locally, you can order it through www.azurestandard.com - it's usually cheaper from them, anyway. I don't know where to get dulse that's not in little flakes. :(

Bryan, not sure where to find organic sesame oil but I'm game, I'll look at whole foods.

Remember when the only place to find organic foods was to either grow them your self, join a coop or find someone who was honest at the farmers markets? Now you see it all over the place and more and more things are going organic as people relies that it's better for them, better tasting and just plain makes sense. I don't doubt if it's not out there it will be soon.

Thanks it turned out better than I thought and over easy too get it "easy" :D Yeah I was trying to figure out which fruit to use, mango, papaya, but Papaya was the most easy to use, the best "yolk" color and consistency, and very easy to scoop and shape. Just eat the "Bacon" first then eat the "egg" to cleanse the palate the sweetness of the "egg" soothese the saltyness of the "bacon" enjoy! Cool DJ KITTY!

Thanks Bellasera I hear ya, this is a fun recipe and tastes really good too. My "Bacon" recipe is super healthy, you get all the minerals, also there is no dehydrating it takes 2 minutes to make just cover organic dulse with olive oil, it will instantly become hard, crunchy, and crisp! Just like "fried bacon" you will love this recipe, the olive oil takes the saltyness away from the dulse, someone just e-mailed me to try sesame oil it is even better but I don't have that and most people don't either where do you get organic sesame oil? But I will have to try it. Try this recipe it is fun and easy, and thanks the book is almost finished but I keep coming up with TOTALLY new recipes to add to it! A lot of people asked me for raw recipes with no nuts and no dehydrating so I discovered totally new creations...

Back to working on it...thanks!

RAW hugs,

Bryan Au

As much as this looks so good, after years and years of bacon and eggs I just get disappointed with the flavor of unbacon and uneggs. *sigh* Have not been able to match bacon or eggs and I do miss them. Sad ain't it. I'm game to try the raw bacon though maybe it will be better than the eggplant bacon on here, which though was good was really really greasy.
