TheRawDance's Thoughts

By TheRawDance

I've been having major raw chocolate cravings today. I stopped using condiments of all kinds, including cacao, awhile ago but tonight I needed a little indulge if you know what I'm saying.

This one is simple. It's a mixture of bitter, tart, and sweet. I didn't use any added sweeteners as the cherimoya needs to act as its own natural sweet goodness in this drink.

It's very nice to be able to appreciate natural flavors without having to add stuff to jazz things up. Coconut water, cacao, cherimoya. Hits the spot.

p.s. Notice the old coconut butter jar? I no longer use this stuff but I use to save the jars. They are perfect for drinks! Why spend $ on fancy glasses when you can get creative and recycle your old jars to reuse. And who doesn't love a glass with flying coconuts all over it!? Hello Kitty and I sure do. ; )

There's a way around the current recipe list glitch. You could add the links in your bio, maybe including the recipe title. Just a thought.

Thank you so much! I miss the feature that listed all our recipes in our profiles. I have many old ones from last year but glad I could add more now even though I am simple raw. I'm sure many who are "hooked on raw-versions of cooked" will not understand and even roll their eyes in confusion when I say "guacamole power" and show an avocado split and mashed in it's shell but hell - i'll tell kudos to those who can appreciate and give gratitude to simplicity, whether they follow or not. So here is a big coconut jar cheers to you dear!

ps. love your user name!

Yana -- If you know the user's name, you can go to their profile and then their "track". All their recipes are listed there, just not grouped together. I normally scroll down the left column for the word "recipe", then glance over to see who submitted the recipe. I find this easier than working with the whole database of recipes, unless the user name is near the beginning or end of the alphabet. Just a suggestion. I keep hoping Ray will fix it so a user's recipes are all filed together like they were before the updates.

This sounds phenomenal! I have been calling a nearby store almost everyday asking if they got more cherimoyas in, I am dying without them! lol.

The only way i found to find recipes by user is to click the "Name" heading, to sort by name, on the recipe list.

Thank you friends!!!

I am sad to say that I am all cherimoya'd out. I didn't buy any at the market this week. Instead I got the following fruits: organic jack fruit, mangoes, tomatoes, avocados, bananas and a free organic papaya for Easter. Oh and I still have a big organic pineapple I need to break into... How sweet!

Yeah, it's definitely harder to find a certain user's recipes now . . . anyway, don't think that those who enjoy more complicated recipes won't also enjoy your simpler ones. I'm sure almost no one eats complicated recipes ALL the time, and it's great to share and find easy combinations that taste great.

Cheers to you as well!

I totally drink out of old Artisana coconut jars. And I like constructing food out of ingredients that all start with the same letter. I even like Hello Kitty. However, cherimoyas are not something I seem to have access to--at least not without mail order. But I really enjoy reading your recipes; Thanks!
