2 perfectly ripe bananas - medium sized

1/3 cup cashews

1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut

1 tablespoon hemp hearts

1/2 cup water

Directions

1. Add all ingredients to your high-speed blender.

2. Slowly increase the blender speed from low to high and blend for a minute or two to ensure that your mixture is well blended.

3. Serve this raw coconut cream recipe in small bowls and top with your favorite fruits, like fresh blueberries or pineapple. (Or you can simply hide in a closet and eat with a spoon!) Sprinkle with a hint of cinnamon when serving.

This raw coconut cream recipe is actually banana based, but the flavor is more coconutty so I thought I'd call it raw coconut cream. You can also taste banana, as well, though.

This recipe is super simple to prepare. You simply throw all the ingredients in your high-speed blender and blend for a minute or two, slowly working your way from low-speed to high.

I like to let this recipe blend for a little longer than normal to ensure that the dessicated coconut is well-distributed. If you have the time, you can soak the water and dessicated coconut together for a bit beforehand (half-an hour or so) for easier blending, but it's not necessary.

I also like this raw coconut cream recipe because it's difficult for me to find real young coconuts in my area so I never have real coconut flesh on hand. The bananas and cashews give this raw vegan recipe that creaminess that you'd expect from coconut cream.

This raw coconut cream recipe is quite rich, so it's best served over your favorite fresh fruits. I especially like this raw coconut cream paired with fresh blueberries!

hi there laura jane! hey i am in australia and would love to make this but have never seen hemp hearts here at my local wholefoods. can i use something instead? cheers

Hello there Australia! I was there once! But I was only 2 years old so it doesn't really count :)

Help hearts are also very expensive, so... you're probably lucky that you don't have them. They just add a little touch of extra creaminess, they don't really affect the flavor much though.

Re: substitution, this is an easy one for the recipe. The hemp hearts are not mandatory, so you can simply omit then. No need to add anything in their place. However, in future, you could try substituting cashews in their place. But, like I said, for this recipe feel free to just leave them out.

Can I do this in a small food processor? That's all I have for now; I'm just recently exploring raw foodism.

Ideally this should be made in a blender.

I think you could give it a shot in your small food processor, as long as all the food fits in your small container. Also, you'll definitely want to soak your cashews in water for a few hours first to soften them.

Also, FYI, a food processor is not ideal for this recipe because it won't get as smooth as you like. It'll be a bit chunkier but it'll probably still taste pretty good :)

This is a yummy treat. I ate it with a spoon and no added fruit:)

There is no easy way to print out that I am aware of. Sometimes I will cut and paste into a Word document. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful!

Yummy. I am at 100% raw and I tried this recipe. I want to try other recipes as well.
I used coconut water instead of water to make it more of a coconut taste. I also added dried bananas chips that I dehydrated for fun and it actually tasted good. The dried bananas had cinnamon and a bit of fresh lemon juice. It was crunchy when I added it and tasty! Take care <3

I mean, I added bananas chips as a topping.
