Are you interested in the raw food lifestyle and are wondering whether you should get a Vitamix, Blendtec or a cheaper household model of blenders?
I've been 100% raw for over two years (read my story here), and I can honestly give my Vitamix blender rave reviews. Most days, I use it twice a day and I have no complaints.
I have a Vitamix 5200, and it suits me perfectly.
It's the blender you've been lusting after
The Vitamix 5200 Standard (Total Nutrition Centre in Canada) is perfect for raw vegan usage. You get the tamper, which is very useful when making nut butters or alfredo sauce or raw recipes that call for lots of nuts and not much liquid. Plus, and most importantly, it is a powerful beast. It'll blend pretty much anything you throw into it and it'll get it to that silky smooth texture that no other blender will get it to. The reason why Vitamixes are the #1 blender: no more gross, chunky green smoothies!! Just pure silk!
The downside to the Vitamix? It is hellishly loud (although most blenders are), and it is also expensive. But it is SO WORTH IT. Trust me. If you are finding it hard to stick with raw foods and you do not have a Vitamix it's no wonder. If you want to get serious about raw/health/vitality you need a Vitamix.
The easiest way to buy is to simply call the salesy people on the phone. If you use my code for your free shipping I will receive a commission from Vitamix so it's a win-win for both of us. You get free shipping on the best blender in the world :)
