Most raw recipes say that the food only lasts for a few days in the fridge. Are there any methods for preserving stuff that you make for a longer amount of time?
One thing I was thinking was my mom has one of those vacuum seal machine, what if I vacuum sealed extra food an stored it in the freezer? Can you store foods in the freezer is that ok or does that kill the living aspect? I would like to know because I love falafel and I would like to make a bunch and freeze the rest.
Also I know some cookbooks say dressings and some foods stuffs will only last a 2-5 days in the fridge, but realistically I've made some that last alot longer. They did have lemon juice in them, is lemon a natural preservative? And how long does food last in the fridge really? I week? 2 weeks?
Thanks

I think the freezer is okay....someone correct me if I am "wrong," lol.....or you can just do it anyway because you want to and there really aren't any "rules" to life other than yours.... :)
Lemon juice does help things last longer/preserve.
That's all I've got!
