  • Hey bitt, where are you on the map?

  • I am in the Navy and I was stationed in SD for 2.5 years. I wish I had known about raw back then because it would have been such an easier transition for me. Especially with all the natural earthy hippies out there. I adore Whole Foods. I actually didn’t start looking at rawness until about a year ago. I was then living on a ship of the coast of Saipan, so def wasn’t able to go raw. So now I am in Seoul, Korea in my OWN apartment again. I am very excited because I received my dehydrator in the mail yesterday.

Although I have been wanting to transition for over a year now, I am finally in a place where I can. And that makes me really happy.

I know you will like it at the center. She is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable even if her hands are in your butt! Tell her Liz the Navy chick says hello.

I was surprised to find that there is only one raw restaurant in SD. It’s in Chula Vista, Cilantro Live! or something like that. I would have thought there would have been so many more. My best friend lives in Chicago and has run across several places that are dedicated to raw.

Anyways I miss SD, especially Ranchos Mexican restaurant. It’s in North Park and all their vegan food is yummy (cooked though).

misslizzy3107~ Cilantro LIVE! now has multiple locations and there is a cute little raw food place in Encinitas called The Greenery. There is/was a place near the Optimum Health Institute in Lemon Grove called Couleur Alive Cafe that you could get some raw selections. I don’t know if they are still there though… What an adventure living in Seoul!

  • Hey Bluedolphin, are you in SD? You know, I just saw Cilantro in Hillcrest but when I looked them up online to check their hours, it said it was “closed.” I can’t figure it out.

WOW, so MissLizzy, what’s your MOS? I was a Psychiatric Specialist in the ARMY. Thank you for your service! ;D I can’t imagine life on the boat, though! Not for a woman but, what an adventure! How many women can say they lived on a ship? Come visit anytime.

this thread inspired me to get my first colonic.. heading to Montreal CA to do it (I’m in northern new york) I’m kind of nervous but excited too. How many do you need to have? How spaced apart should they be? I was thinking maybe one a month for about 4 sessions..

I’ll be going every 2 months. That’s probably enough for us raw fooders, since we get plenty of fiber. Matt Monarch did one every month for the first year of being raw. He said it helped him have less detox effects. It’s totally your call.

  • Well since this seems to be my favorite topic:

I did a series of 3 with in a week. I was only in SD for 7 days and I had been wanting to get a colonic for ages. I was only going to do one, but my therapist suggested the series. I was worried that 3 would be a lot in such a short amount of time . . . but she informed me that while she was at school they had to give each other one everyday for a few weeks.

I would get a series to start off with and then see if once a month makes you feel good or if you need less.

Like I said before if I lived in the states I would be on that table once a month.
