artichokes

Can someone give me some tips on how to prepare them raw? It’s been awhile since I’ve had anything than the frozen kind so back to basics is required.

    sounds good minus the parmesan, you could do a pinenut faux parmesan, that would be tasty!

  • bitt~ A slightly different recipe than mmmorgans yummy recipe, that has a picture that includes the leaves, goto Raw Artichoke with Lemon. I haven’t yet tried eating a raw artichoke. I wonder if one can eat the darker leaves similar to a cooked artichoke… just the lower, inner portion of the dark leaf that one scrapes off with one’s lower teeth…

    There are other recipes listed in the Recipe tab when you search on “Artichoke.”

  • I luurve artichokes, was very sad as I didnt think you could eat them raw – Bitt, thanks so much for this thread, I’ve been out & got some today, going to try that artichoke & lemon recipe, will be a shame to toss the outer leaves so might give to a grateful cooked friend!
