Rawforhealth's Thoughts

This smoothie contains many of the omega 3 and 6 fatty acids we all strive to include in our diets. Flaxseeds or flax oil is the greatest non animal food source of these acids. The avocado and nuts/seeds are other good sources of various omega acids and make this very filling. Dark leefy greens are the other excellent source of omega 3’s. The banana’s sweetness makes this smoothie ideal for those who don’t want to totally taste their greens. (like me ;) Blueberries contain the most antioxidants of all fruits and are added for extra health benefits. I like alot of blueberrys so my smoothie has more of a red/purple color than green.

PS Nutiva sells 100% raw shelled hempseed in the US, they import it from Canada as it is illegal to sell hemp from the US in the US. You can get it at most health stores or order it online.

This looks so good! I'd omit the flax and pumpkin but the rest sounds great!

you can buy packs of shelled hemp seeds at most health food stores. they are shelled so we can't replant them. =)

Where do people acquire hemp seeds? I'm American and we can't grow the gorgeous stuff here. Are you conveniently Canadian?
And on a totally unrelated subject (or related, if you are in the know as to the REAL reason hemp is outlawed in the USofA), did you know that Henry Ford built a car completely out of hemp? All the working parts were made from hemp fiber...well, I dunno about the engine, but the seats, the floors, the siding, the axles, etc. were all made completely out of hemp. And he bragged that you could take a sledgehammer to it and it wouldn't make so much as a dent. BUT, if you chemically treated the stuff, it became immediately biodegradable and recyclable.
Well of course that didn't last long, since it would have lead to people buying one car and then never buying a car again ever, so of course we never saw a hemp car. Besides which, Rockefeller had it outlawed to prevent being outcompeted in his nylon rope industry. Oops, there I've let the cat out of the bag now!
Let's all keep electing Democrats and Republicans so they can keep coddling the corporate scum that is ruining our God-fearing republic, hmm?
