Throw spinach in the blender with water, sunflower seeds and hemp seeds. Blend until smooth. Then add the remaining ingredients and blend for a long time until very smooth and slightly warm. Enjoy!

I made this tonight because I wanted a spinach version of my Classic Cream of Mushroom soup. It turned out so delicious! It’s very easy and only takes about 10 minutes to make. This soup is also a beautiful colour :)

Delicious- I haven't had cream of mushroom soup in over a year since becoming vegan- but as far as i can remember this tastes just like it! Thank you- I will definitely be making this again.

Great recipe.. I added

1 tsp. cumin

1/2 tsp curry powder

lots of cayenne

and cashews

Taste like Indian Saag..

Hi Birgette, I would recommend using more sunflower seeds, so you would use 1/2 cup of them in total. Or for a non seed alternative you could use half a small avocado.

Do you have any suggestions on what to use instead of Hemp Seeds. They do not sell Hemp Seeds where I live. Thank you!

This looks so good..and nutritionally complete, since hemp and sunflower seeds are added. I'll be trying this one for sure! I may add a but of olive oil.
