Yieldabout 1 cup
1 head celery or lettuce, roughly chopped
1 apples, roughly chopped (with skin)
1 knob of ginger (to taste)
1 whole organic lemon, cut
1 peeled orange, (not in her recipe, but i liked it)
5 leaves (kale, collard, chard, etc.), roughly chopped
2 tablespoon cumin
1 small chili pepper
3 tablespoon extra-virgin cold pressed olive oil
1 sprinkle lemon juice
1 teaspoon garam masala
water--to blended consistency
1 teaspoon raw honey or agave (optional)
i made it in my magic bullet (only half the recipe will fit most likely):
juice everything but the leaves. take pulp from juicer and put in food processor. juice leaves (actually, i put the whole juice in my blender and blended the leaves, then strained everything. ENJOY drink =)
now. put remaining ingredients in food processor, adding water as needed. blend till it’s REALLY smoothe.
this is a REALLY unusual, lightly sweet dressing, with a nice hint of cumin.
it can also be used as a dressing.
