I had a craving for macaroons, but since my wheat allergy I couldn’t make them anymore since they have oats in them, this recipe is very similar to them!

Recipe Directions

Put equal amounts of almonds and pecans in your food processor. Grind until coarsely chopped, add in cocoa/cacoa powder/nibits, shredded coconut meat, dates and agave syrup. Grind until well combined to the point where it starts sticking together.

Add more sweeteners, and cocoa powder as you see needed by sampling. Shape into small to medium balls, lay them on a cookie sheet with wax paper and put them in a freezer for a while for them to harden. Later on put in a sealed container and store in freezer. Enjoy!

i don't soak them first, but you can experiment and see what works best.

Focus on what you can eat and not what you can't eat, makes life much easier that way.

Oh wow Jenny, I'm so sorry you are allergic to oats! I don't know what i'd do if I couldn't eat them any more. I've developed an allergy to raw walnuts and pecans, which makes me really sad. :( If I become allergic to raw almonds, I'm gonna be out of luck.
