Recipe Directions

COMBINE well all ingredients (except for last three) and place to fridge to chill. PILL and SLICE persimmons arranging on the plate CUT lengthwise slit down the center but not through of each date; REMOVE seeds. Divide nut mixture evenly among dates; STUFF into slits. Sprinkle with cacao nibs. Serving size: 1-2 stuffed date.

Zhanna8's Thoughts

Very simple and elegant dish. Similar combination of dates and almond paste is a North African tradition, such as Algeria.

correct... apples are also good to use in this recepie, though need to be sprinkled with lemon. in addtion flavors of persimmons to me is a better match with dates... i dont have dehydrator; i really enjoy fresh/vegitables and have dry only on rare occation or when i travel. i am sure it is extra sweet when dry

Yes, the Fujus are eaten when they are hard like an apple. The other Persimmons you wait until it is soft. I love that when sliced, the Fuju has a star in the middle. They are also way yummy. Have you tried to dehydrate them? WOW... fruit candy!!!
