Creating Healthy Habits
½ cup Almond Butter
¼ can Coconut Oil
2 tablespoon Tocotrienols
Cacao Powder to taste, optional
Salt, Nutmeg, Cayenne pepper, to taste
Cacao Nibs, to taste
COMBINE well all ingredients (except for last three) and place to fridge to chill. PILL and SLICE persimmons arranging on the plate CUT lengthwise slit down the center but not through of each date; REMOVE seeds. Divide nut mixture evenly among dates; STUFF into slits. Sprinkle with cacao nibs. Serving size: 1-2 stuffed date.
Very simple and elegant dish. Similar combination of dates and almond paste is a North African tradition, such as Algeria.
