1/2 C Raw Oats, soaked overnight
1/2 C Hot Water
3/4 C Walnuts (not soaked, or soaked just for a wee bit)
1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
2-3 TBS of Real Maple Syrup or Agave
Soak the oats overnight in just enough water to cover
In the morning drain them in a strainer and place in a blender or food processor (my blender is not very powerful so I used a processor)
Add 1/2 hot water, vanilla and walnuts and process until incorporated. you do not want to pulverize unless you are desiring a more "shredded wheat" type consistency.
Transfer to bowl and top with syrup or agave and any garnish of your choice. I used dried cranberries but you can add shredded apples, cinnamon, or any other dried/fresh fruit.
