Recipe Directions

Put the gogi, cocoa and coconut milk in first becuase you want them to soak for a bit when you prepare the rest.

I don’t have theese often but when I do, it’s something special! The more cayenne you put it, the slower you will drink it and the more you will enjoy it. Play around with the ingredients to suit your pallette.

Blend and try not to chug the whole thing.

Thanks for the comments! But I feel obliged to not that I no longer make these smoothies because they are horribly combined (fruit and fats). So if you're going to make it i would leave out the fruit and add a young coconut!

Whoa, that is spicy! I love it. I also added some cinnamon, and used apricot in place of mango cause I have lots of ripe apricots at the moment! Anyway, thanks for the idea of adding cayenne to my chocolaty smoothies! Yum!

This is now my favorite smoothie! Thanks so much! For just 1 serving, I left out the coconut milk (I used water instead), grapes, honey and agave, and limited the mango and banana to 6oz, added 1/2t of cinnamon, and used 1 1/2T of cacao powder (I'm a chocoholic). I love the kick from the cayenne. This is better than any smoothie from any recipe book.

Hot Diggity! This smoothie is exciting and wonderful. The cayenne really lets me know about the boundaries of my ethereal space. Thanks.

What would you suggest in place of coconut milk? This looks really good by the way. Hey, do you have anymore recipes for cacoa nibs?

Coconut milk is the stuff inside a coconut. Just drill two holes at oposite ends and let it drain out. They have coconuts at most grocery stores where I live in rural southern ontario so you should be able to find them any where. Don't buy stoe bought coconut juice or milk, it is pasteurized and sweetened with refined sugar!

This looks AMAZING! Question though, how do you get the coconut milk? Is it just pureed coconut?
