Recipe Directions

1. Puree tomatoes, half an avocado, sun-dried tomato, garlic, and one handful of cilantro in a food processor until pretty smooth. Blend in spices. (I had to add a lot of chili powder to get this spicy, but be sure to taste as you add. Chili powder may vary.)

2. Mix peppers and green onion in a bowl. Add in puree and give it a good stir to blend.

3. Mix in the other half of the avocado (diced), half a tomato (or a whole one if you wish), and chopped cilantro.

4. Add olive oil and lime juice. Stir that baby real good. Add a little more salt if it pleases the palate, and you’re done! Bon appetit!

A chunky chili with veggies and no beans.

Very tomatoey with a nice crunch from the peppers.

Smooth and creamy from the avocados.

This sounds, and looks SO good. Chili IS the food I eat cooked because I want it so bad. I will over eat when I eat cooked chili! I'm going to try this asap. Do you think this would keep well to eat as left overs for a few days?

What a delicious recipe. I made it for my family the other day and my non-raw daughter said it was better than cooked chili! Thanks!!

I just made this this morning to let it sit till dinner but I couldn't resist taking a spoonful to try. Delicious! Since going raw a few months ago straight from SAD, the one thing I missed the most was probably the chili. Thank you so much for posting this!

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it!! I didn't quite invent it, I used another recipe I found online for the base and went from there. That's how most of my recipes are born.

This sounds delicious. I've always loved chili... from ground turkey, to tofu, to veggies and now RAW. Wow, the evolution! *smile*.

Thanks for sharing!
