Cucumber Dill Soup

This soup was so refreshing on the hottest day of the year in Seattle.

If you do not have hemp, avocado would work well as a substitute.

Raw Hemp Milk

A sweet alternative to milk.

Orange Almond Vanilla Grawnola

A combination of orange, vanilla, almond, cinnamon with a batch of sprouted buckwheat makes this grawnola a yummy breakfast treat.

I am a big fan of grawnola, although I don't make it as much as I'd like to.

Buckwheat is such a nice and light grain, especially when sprouted, and the orange-vanilla combination really highlights the overall flavors of the recipe.

Enjoy!

Amrood Ka Sharbat (Guava Rose Smoothie)

This Indian smoothie is traditionally made with guavas, milk and rose essence. I've substituted a quick chia milk (made by using chia and water) and fresh rose petals.

Remember, as with all raw foods, the final taste of your product is highly dependent on the starting ingredients.

You should have guavas that are heavy for size, soft and yielding, with a highly perfumed interior. Unripe guavas will lend a piney flavor to the drink.

Raw Organic Ding Dongs

This is a fun variation of my Raw Organic Brownie recipe from my Raw In Ten Minutes recipe book.

We all love junk food and well now there is a raw organic version of this favorite snack.

And yes, it only takes 10 minutes to make.

Serve, smile, enjoy, laugh, play and share! Remember fond childhood memories and enjoy a actual healthy good version of a childhood favorite!

Blueberry Granola

Last summer, I made several batches of Matthew Kenney's raspberry-lime granola. Boy, is that stuff gooood.

However raspberries (even frozen ones) are a bit too expensive right now.

So I decided to opt for blueberries (thawed out wild blueberries from Trader Joe's) and then went ahead and altered the recipe a bit based on what I had around the house for nuts and seeds.

Chocolate Cupcakes

Another way to use up nut pulp!

Bonus: You could also make a frosting out of avocado, cacao, and some kind of sweetener. Mine weren’t ripe yet.

C’est dommage! But they were plenty sweet without.

Chocolate Cake with Bananas

I made this cake for my birthday last week, and my raw friends found it really delicious. I like it too, because I love the combination of bananas and chocolate. If you do not like bananas, you do not have to include them.

While making the cake, you can enjoy the "leftovers" as delicious raw drinks: The water from the 2 young coconuts, as well as the soaking water from the dates which is nice and sweet.

Wok This Way: Stir No-Fry for Dinner Tonight

Stir fries always taste great, but they literally cook the life out of the veggies and are slathered with so much oil and seasoning packets (sodium overload) that you can feel the greasy layer on your lips.

So here's a great recipe if you:

a. Don't have power (none necessary for this dish)

b. Haven't eaten your veggies (you can add a ton of your faves here)

c. Don't want to cook (leave the wok in the cupboard)

d. And want something uber healthy, full of antioxidants and nutrients, and deeee-licious
