The other day I bought some fresh cranberries as the grocery store, as well as some unsweetened dried cranberries.
I am not a huge cranberry person, but somehow this minor purchase has triggered in me into a major recipe making frenzy! This could have something to do with the fact that it's Canadian Thanksgiving here this weekend and I am enjoying experimenting with some traditional holiday treats. So watch for some new recipes soon, like my cranberry lemon cheesecake bites that I've already posted, plus I'll be posting a cranberry relish soon also. I've also been on a pumpkin recipe kick as well. October will do that to you!
I think it's weird how the Canadian and American Thanksgivings are on different days and in different months. That seems oddly confusing. But I guess these dates were chosen for a reason back in the day, and we should all be thankful on a daily basis any way.
I retweeted someone's Tweet today that said something like, "Today's action: practice gratitude." And I think I shall today. The sun is shining and I am feeling wonderfully energetic and focused today. And for this I am thankful.
