The Rawtarian's Thoughts

By The Rawtarian

No equipment required! Which means less dishes to clean, which is always a good thing!

Best served cold, straight-out of the freezer because coconut oil will liquify again once warm.

This recipe makes approximately 15 drop cookies. These are super sweet and rich, so just one after dinner does a lot to satisfy that sugar fix!

Please note: the tahini is definitely the secret ingredient in this recipe. So do not try to substitute it with anything. (And do NOT use sesame seeds instead of real oily/liquidy tahini! The texture will be all screwy and not good if you do that. For realz!)

Coconut oil is so expensive, is there anything else that I could use instead?

Nope, sorry Claire. Only coconut oil will work in this recipe. (the coconut oil is important because it will hold everything together).

It is expensive, but a little goes a long way. Seriously, there is no substitute.

These cookies are fabulous...but for me a bit too salty. Probably my tahin is already quite salty...
Next time, I'll try them without salt and see how they taste...

Can I make tahini using sesame seeds? I can't find raw tahini anywhere! I know you said sesame seeds messes up the texture, but what if I make the tahini first with raw sesame seeds? Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Sara! Probably best to use raw almond butter instead, do you have that? Or cashew butter?
