I did a cleanse this summer. It was honestly great.
I am about a week in to a raw food diet. My jeans are already lose and I definitely went down a notch in my belt. I haven’t weighed myself nor do I plan to anytime soon. But I have lost weight just by looking at myself and feeling my clothes looser.
I have been eating plant-based for about a year or more and I have noticed a pattern where I get a craving for sushi/sashimi or (cooked) salmon about every 2-3 weeks so I am still going to have sashimi as my one animal food. (Raw eggs don’t seem very appealing.) I will try not to eat sashimi unless I’m really desperate but I’m also not going to put my health at risk if I feel I really need it in my diet.
Anyway my sleep is a little wonky but I feel great aside from that. Perhaps it is just my body adjusting. We also just experienced a drop in temperature here (NJ) as we enter the winter season so I’m thinking that is having an effect on me as well.
I always end up with too much energy to sleep! By the time I adjust, the cleanse is usually over, but such is life :)
