What to do with Incan berries?

kandacekandace Raw Newbie

I recently received a bag of raw incan berries (also known as goldenberries or cap gooseberries). They look a lot like large, golden raisins. They’re quite tasty as a snack on their own. Any idea of what I can make with them?

  • If they are sticky you could blend them with nuts (I like almonds) to make cookies or combine them with a sticky dried fruit like dates or prunes.

    Thanks for the tip, Nagav.

Vaughn: They’re amazing! I can’t quite place the taste – they’re really like nothing I’ve tasted before: a bit tart, a bit sweet and absolutely delicious.

  • They’re incredibly sweet and tart. Never tasted anything quite like ‘em.
