I just saw some vids on the net of David speaking. What a chariamatic, engaging character. Has anyone seen him live or met him?

I may just have to forgive him about the cocoa! :)

  • he actually kinda scares me. i don’t know why. he is probably a perfectly nice person.

  • Luna bluLuna blu Raw Newbie

Wow, really? I think he’s great. There’s a raw sexiness about him. (No pun intended!)

    He just seems very intense!!

  • elizabethhelizabethh Raw Newbie

i’m just a tiny bit skeptical about some of the things he says, because i tend to reject over-confident people who leave no room for doubt, but overall i think he’s made some very valuable contributions to the raw food world.

  • queenfluffqueenfluff Raw Newbie

I have met David and seen him speak live.

Yeah, he is very smart on the food part of everything. He is nice and he does seem sort of intense. People are always asking me “what should I eat for this and that?” and of course he has answers that boost his product sales. He is one of those people who believe in conspiracies I was told.

You can tell he is definatley a partier (and he admits that he was one before his raw life) and has a way with the ladies. :)

  • Luna bluLuna blu Raw Newbie

Oh, is there something wrong with us conspiracy people? :)

I have two conspiracy theories, 1: They have found a cure for cancer, and are keeping it hushed up because it would impact the pharmaceutical companies negatively. and 2: Food is partially grown the way it is (pesticides) obviously for the greater yield, but also for the fact that the ‘man’ wants to keep the people sick. Again, pharmaceuticals co.

Anyhow, I wouldn’t put it past these people. it all boils down to the all mighty buck! You think I am crazy now;)

I can see how DW is a ladies man! :)

  • Luna, I agree 100% with those theories and I have a few theories of my own on our shady government especially when it comes to keeping people sick.

  • I’ve met and seen Daivd Wolfe speak. He was very friendly and obviouosly paissionate about raw food. He practivces what he preaches and it appears to be working for him. I’m not really into a spuerfood high fat diet though.

    Luna and Chakra:

I’m totally into “conspiracy” theories. If anybody wants to see whats really going on invest some time on youtube and watch Alex Jone’s ENDGAME.

  • heartshapedskyheartshapedsky Raw Newbie

i met him recently and i felt he was very intense, smart, over the top, handsome, and i’m glad i went to see him speak. i’d go again. he’s crazy, in a good way!

  • queenfluffqueenfluff Raw Newbie

He he! No nothing wrong with the conspriacy people. :) I am not really one of them.

David said something about the bee shortage and pasteurized almonds and nicotine – I can’t remember the whole thing but it sounded pretty out there (basically made no sense honestly) so it made him seem a little crazy.

I do think it is sort of conspiracy as far as medicines and bad food go – to keep the doctors rich and the medicine companies in business and us sick and in debt. That is why all the medicines are sponsored by companies that make bad food (like the dairy counsel) that keep people sick and enslave animals.

I think David in one of those who believe that the first moon landing was staged. I never knew there were people who believed that. Anyhow, that conspiracy doesn’t seem as important as medicines and sick people. :)

  • pianissimapianissima Raw Newbie

“conspiracy” is another word for “they aren’t telling us everything.” anyone who doesn’t believe in conspiracies believes the government engages in full disclosure of its motives… that seems a little naive to me. also, convention is such that yesterday’s “conspiracy” is today’s “assumption.”

    luna blu- i totally agree.

elizabethh- very impressive assessment. i too am very skeptical of people who claim to have found “the truth”

  • MeditatingMeditating Raw Newbie

Luna, there are cancer specialists, most of the ones I found out about worked for Sloan-Ketterling which I believe is now a nationwide cancer “specialist” treatment and research group, that have had doctors who discovered natural substances that proved to either place patients in remission, stop cancer cells from multiplying, and perhaps even cure cancer. Once it was determined that there was no way to patent the items due to an inability to synthesize them, the research was ended and the doctors were forbidden to discuss the details of the research. One of the doctors claimed when he refused to do so (and I believe he is also the doctor that won a Pulitzer for his work) he was then offered a $1 million contract by one of the pharmacuetical giants. He still speaks, as do a few others, openly about what the drug companies and FDA have done. These doctors have been ostracized from mainstream medicine for their willigness to speak out. This is something I research almost 2 years ago and, when I did a search on their names to see if they had been sued for any form of defamation, they had not. I think that pretty much proves their point.

I don’t like that term “conspiracy theorist.” I have come to believe it means that someone is willing to ask the hard questions that “authority” doesn’t want to answer and is willing to use their mind. Besides, when you stereotype someone with a derogatory comment, which is how people seem to use the term, you automatically dismiss what they have to say without inspection. This is used as a form of political oppression. It also provides those who aren’t concerned enough about themselves, their children, their country, and everything else with an excuse as to why they don’t have to take action to do something about it.

I had one of my professors state during lecture that the more educated people become and the more capable they are at analytical thinking, the more radical their thinking is deemed to be. That is because they can cut through all the crap we are being spoonfed.

I like that old saying – Authority is not the truth. Truth is the authority.

  • Luna bluLuna blu Raw Newbie

Dain5000, I actually read that some of these docs. know of natural ways to shrink tumour, but are unable to tell the patients about them. If they do they get in a whole ton of srap. Blue green algae being one of thoes natural things!

queenfluff, yeah I heard about people who think the moon landing was staged! That’s just funny! :) Who knows, I wasn’t there, I can’t tell ya for sure!;)

  • I agree with about everything said here. David is going to be speaking somewhere in my area in April. I’m looking forward to going to see him even though I agree with all the above and think he’s a little crazy… he is knowledgeable and experienced in the raw food diet. I think I’ll probably enjoy it. I’ve seen him on youtube and thought he was entertaining.

  • I’ve only seen him on videos (YouTube and other media) and I like him, but I’m a little bit surprised to learn he is such a “ladies man.” I just think of him more like cute in a boyish way. :) But he does have amazing energy and passion for what he believes in and I can see that as being sexy.

...On the “conspiracy” issue – - I’m a believer in quite a few “conspiracy” theories (can’t say the moon one though) that may seem unrelated (and far fetched) at first glance, but they do all trace back to a main goal and theme. And I used to think conspiracy people where mostly just drama whackos just a few years ago.

Here’s some food for thought videos for the brave:

“EndGame” is a must see for everyone! O_o http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=10703290…

    “America: Freedom to Fascism” http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=53553744…

    “Loose Change” http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8045542…

    “Zeitgeist” http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=55474814…

And how about the whole Codex Alimentarius history- why is it headed up by Hitler’s Nazi head scientists (look up I.G. Farben) who were responsible for devolping the poisons to kill millions (after they only served three years in prison then went to work for Bayer Pharma before retiring and going to Codex that influences the UN’s recommendations on world food supply); why have they just recently ok’d 7 of the 9 most toxic chemical/pesticides known to man as ok to use on our food grown around the world that is to be imported into the U.S. for our food supply (these poisons had finally been banned a few years ago when studies proved beyond doubt their effects on us until IG Farben came to head the Codex two years ago); why have they put out reports and recommendations to the U.N. and U.S. that actually call ALL NUTRIENTS as POISON and undesirable in our food supply and are trying to implement it; why are they trying to pass a bill in our U.S. Congress right now that will make all organic foods, fruits, veggies, etc and seeds ILLEGAL by December 2009??!!! Scary but true stuff!! O_o Look it up!

Look up the true history of how the FDA (Food and Drug Assoc) and AMA (American Medical Assoc) REALLY came about- who funded them, who benefitted from them, who ran/controlled them?! Not to mention the whole Federal Reserve Bank- how crazy wrong that whole thing is!! Look ‘em up! Stuff you won’t find in everyday media, but who owns all the media conglomerations?! Thank goodnesss for the internet now at least! And there are quite a few books out there, too.

And yes, there is a cure for cancer (if not cures)! It’s called Laetrile (vitamin B17 which can be found in apricots pits and certain types of almonds)) and it has been banned from being made available in the US. A good book about it is “World Without Cancer” by G. Edward Griffen http://www.amazon.com/World-Without-Cancer-Stor…=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206666805&sr=8-1

And you want great great scientifically proven information on nutrition, read “The China Study” by T. Colin Campbell and you’ll probably even start wondering about what the hell kind of conspiracy our go’vt is pulling on us! http://www.amazon.com/China-Study-Comprehensive…=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206667231&sr=1-1

But defintely don’t take my word (or anyone’s) on it. Research this stuff YOURSELF and make up your own minds!!

BTW- Nagev and Chakra Essence, you may find the information offerred here interesting: http://nomorehoaxes.com/

The “Handbook” series is quite fascinating.

    Peace. :)

  • Right on Dain5000! Well said.

Codex Alimentarius – Oh my gosh. An evil empire. I was thinking about them and Monsanto the other night when I watched this 60 Minutes video:

    Saving Seeds in Doomsday Vault

although i’m definitely more than suspicious of the medical establishment for obvious reasons, i try not to get caught up in conspiracy theories pursee. the reason for this is, i don’t really know who people are talking about when they say “they” or “the man”...it seems like scapegoating to me. in my mind, the corruption in the medical establishment is not evil at the hands of a person or a small group of individuals, but more a result of years and years of public inactivity and corporate abuse at the hands of many. i think real change starts with ripples in the masses, because capitalism works on supply and demand. we demand, they supply. more people just need to demand!

  • lzhptlzhpt Raw Newbie

David Wolf. Yes. Very engaging speaker. That’s how he gets you to buy all his products. One youtube segment he uses coffee as a smoothie base followed by every single “superfood” he sells. The final smoothie was loaded w/ coconut, coconut oil. coconut butter, agave, goji and strawberries—I’m sure was the only fruit. You must be kidding? Sexy-yes. I think he could park his slippers under my bed…LOL

  • WinonaWinona Raw Newbie

Wow Dain5000, THANK YOU for pointing me to the book about B17! I read this in the amazon book reviews, and I wanted to post it here. It makes SENSE based on what I’ve read in some raw food books about enzymes… I want to investigate the biology of it to double check. Wow.

Griffin explains that cancer is caused by fast-growing quasi-embryonic cells which are used by the body in healing. The body uses enzymes secreted by the pancreas to turn this process off when healing is completed, but these enzymes are also used in digestion, and moderners who deviate from our intended hunter-gather diet squander them breaking down processed food. In the absence of these prohibitive enzymes, the quasi-embryonic cells grow unchecked. This is cancer. To cure or prevent it, one reverts to a diet that does not drain the enzymes, and supplements their supply by ingesting an external source—B-17. Mainstream treatments are a failure because they do not address this underlying cause of cancer; Griffin explains why chemo, radiation, and surgery victims who survive do so spite of these procedures, not because of them.

  • I love David Wolf, he is a very good speaker, very intelligent but a bit crazy as well. He is the proof that this diet works, he is just glowing! He ia totally right about the food industry and medical system, which try to get more people sick. As to he wants you to buy he’s products: he say in some of his vids that he dooesn’t tell you to buy anything or what to eat, you can choose yourself what would you like to eat and buy. I think everyone has to choose their superfoods, and as we are all different this choice, relying on what you need can be different for everyone. For example I use grape seed meal, which I’ve never heard to speak about as superfood by any raw food gurus, but it is defifitely a superfood.

    lzhpt -

HA HA! You just made my night!

“I think he could park his slippers under my bed…”

I LOL. I LOVE that! He he!

Must agree, Luna Blu, there is something SEXY and RAW about that guy. Can’t vouch for the rest!!

  • Yes, JoyceH, I think that’s going into the world of “dogma” again :).

  • He’s speaking at Rawvolution in Santa Monica next Friday.

  • lzhptlzhpt Raw Newbie

Did I mention while he’s parking his slippers under my bed, he can leave his hemp poncho on! Ok I’d better stop.

  • queenfluffqueenfluff Raw Newbie

He he! lzhpt, I have never seen him without that hemp poncho on! :)

  • SarahJSarahJ Raw Newbie

I spite of the obvious (he’s smart, good looking and VERY energetic), I think we may all be dipping into the Maca root a bit too much. hahahahahahaha

  • lzhptlzhpt Raw Newbie

So funny. Thanks for the laughter.

  • Luna bluLuna blu Raw Newbie

Wow, I leave my computor for a couple days and you guys are still jawing aoubt DW! COOL!

That smoothie sounds nuts! That would explain why he is so INTENSE!

Park his slippers under your bed eh! Well maca is a great libido enhancer! Hence the sexuality he oozes! I actaully don’t buy his stuff any more. I have found better sources for my raw needs. I don’t blame him for promoting his stuff, He needs to put lettuce on the table!

I am glad I’m not the only one who thinks he’s sexy! I have a thing for manly men. I have Julianos book RAW, and bleh, no thanks, he is way too feminine for me!

Anyhow, the next time DW is in the area I’m so totally going to see him!

  • Luna bluLuna blu Raw Newbie

sarahj, I just reread your last post, I thought you said he, not we! Yeah, by the sounds of it we all should lay of the maca! HA HAA! :)
