Count Your Bees - The Great Sunflower Project

In case you missed this in the gardening discussion, I just joined The Great Sunflower Project which is all about counting your bees this summer. They send you sunflower seeds (a certain pollinating variety) and twice a month for 30 minutes you relax and watch a flower, then post your results online. Everyone I’ve mentioned this to is in love with the idea, it’s the least we can do for the bees! http://www.greatsunflower.org/

    amysue, so glad you started this thread. I too joined after reading the gardening forum. This is a very “good thing” for all of us to do, don’t ya know???

    How quick does a sunflower grow anyways?

    Raw_Chocoholic – I don’t know offhand but it will tell you on the seed packet they send how long until bloom. I’ve never been very good at growing them but I’ll give my best effort for this.
