Yeah, i do this all the time. Soak buckwheat groats for 8 hours, then drain and rinse very well (until water runs clear) every 1/2 hour for 3-4 hours. Then, you can rinse every 6 hours for the next 24 hours. DO NOT let them sprout any longer- they’ll go bad. It’s very important to exactly follow these instructions.
Then, place buckwheat in dehydrator and dehydrate until dry. Then, grind them in the coffee grinder. They’re a great coating for marinaded veggies!
can i not just grind the oat groats?? or must i soak them?
biscuit my husband asked the same question to me last night. i think they are too tough and perhaps indigestible if you have not soaked and dried them.
