I have had bouts of doing raw and then going completely off the rails, as it has not felt right at that time. I have transitioned to vegetarian this year, which is fantastic for me because I was raised on meat and two veg and all my family are still there really. I stayed a meat eater because my mum suffered from pernicious anaemia and I was scared of getting it, but in the end, I got a B12 supplement which I take now and then. I decided to do more raw recently as I felt ready to do so, and started with green juices, but what I have noticed, to my horror, is that I am getting fine lines around my mouth, just like a smoker. I used to smoke (up to 20 a day occasionally, and have still had the occasional one up until last year when friends came to stay). I certainly didn't have this problem when I went raw last summer (people said I looked 10 years younger and I am 49 at the moment. Up until now, I have looked much younger than my chronological age). I am scared that it will get worse and I will end up ageing so rapidly, and yet the raw diet feels so right and I have so much more commitment to it this time. Has anyone experienced anything like this or any advice they can give, I would be so grateful. I do feel so much better than I have done so far.
