  • Hey Berryraw…. I typically say I’m a raw enthusiast as I am not 100% and never aspire to be…but as far as percentages go I’m about 85%, because that kind of means something to people. Its still rather relative, no? Here’s my math on figuring out per…
  • Kedamono, We all are works in progress, I wish you peace in this phase of your journey. 100% raw can help if you perhaps binge on fruit and veggies instead of SAD food because the effects won’t be so detrimental on your body! However binging on raw …
  • I added some steamed edamame to a salad last night and I felt satisfied. Maybe some tofu, edamame and miso here and there will help at first. I’m wanting to do this for the long haul. El-bo, Superfood, bitt…thanks for reminding me of patience (hummi…

  • Depends on the store… some middle eastern markets and natural food stores may have packaged garbanzos that sprout. I’ve sprouted garbanzos from the bulk at whole foods. They are pretty easy to sprout….make sure you rinse often. Happy sprouting!

  • I think this article is “on point.” I’ve seen raw children who “survive” on flax crackers, raw chocolate and nuts with scant fruits and vegetables. There is such a thing as a “junk food” raw vegan!

  • Hey lzhpt… Clamshells are those plastic containers salad comes in…btw they are superior to bags in keeping salad/spinach fresh. I think a shmear of hummus would be fine.

  • Cafe Gratitude has a recipe for spinach tortillas that’s pretty simple. Roughly one 5 oz clamshell of spinach 1/4 cup ground flax, 1 TBSP lemon juice, pick your fresh herbs and spices and blend it together. Spoon onto a teflex sheet in 6 6inch round…

  • Hey ya’all. Never really felt the “pinch” before I tried to do a juice feast. I don’t have a juicer and went to get my day’s supply of fresh juice at Wild Oats. It was almost $20. Suffice it to say, I didn’t do a 10 day juice feast. I have a family …

  • Socal, I think we agree on something here:) I would like nutritionals too. I am an avid calorie counter. I’ve found that gourmet recipes are high in calories. To stay within my 1400 calories, I end up having such a small piece that I’m nowhere near …
