  • How to improve fertility?

I second what most women have suggested. But, there some are things I've noticed that were not covered...

I think before pursuing any recommendations, you may have to solve the "patchy health history" you mentioned in your first post. What is it? What's causing it? And how could it be affecting your chances at pregnancy? Obviously, you don't have to share that with us. But I think delving into those questions may help, especially if they could be affecting your chances of conceiving.

After that, I agree improving health is a top priority.

You mentioned you're in line for IVF. There's a good book, "It Starts with the Egg: How the Science of Egg Quality Can Help You Get Pregnant Naturally, Prevent Miscarriage, and Improve Your Odds in IVF" by Rebecca Fett. I'd suggest you read that especially for improving your IVF odds, as well as improving your health.

Then I believe after your base health is improved... then using "fertility foods" to boost your fertility in both you and your partner are vital. Good recommendations already mentioned here like maca root, vitamin C, etc. There's also a good post here of foods to help increase fertility for both men and women. Some of the foods listed in the post I see haven't even been mentioned by anyone else yet.

    All the best :)
