Put apple slices, banana, and romaine lettuce into blender. Blend until well combined and chopped. Add ice. Blend. Pour into glass and enjoy!

That is a green smoothie--great job! :) (I've found my tolerance to bitter greens and other healthy items is greatly increasing the longer I eat raw--I had that same smoothie this morning but with lactino kale and collards and loved it!). Just a tip, the collards are really mild but the dinosaur kale was a little intense compared to all the kinds I've tried. I feel amazing afterward, though! :)

Well great then! I DO drink green smoothies! It's just that I tried a recipe with kale first and that just didn't get it for me! That was probably a month ago! It took me this long to get the courage up to try it again! This time, I decided to use things I know I already like!

Spinach is great for me for drinking the green smoothies - it's very mild and delicious! Yours looks excellent, though, so keep it up!!

The trick with Kale in green smoothies, especially if you're not one for the stronger greens (yet), is to not add too much. If I'm making a smoothie with greens for my husband, I'll use only one leaf of kale - maybe two if their small. He's really weird about greens.
