Yield
Serves 6-8
Ingredients
5 medium apples
½ cup raisins (soaked 2-4 hours)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ lemon (juiced)
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon sea salt
COBBLER TOPPING
1½ cups pecans (not soaked)
¾ cup dates (pitted, not soaked)
½ teaspoon sea salt
Recipe Directions
1. Peel and chop one of the apples.
2. Place apple along with the drained raisins, cinnamon, lemon juice, honey, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt in a food processor or high speed blender. Pure until completely smooth and creamy. Set aside.
3. Peel, core, and slice thin the remaining apples.
4. Place slices in a large bowl and gently toss with pureed mix. Place in a medium sized glass or ceramic dish.
5. To make the cobbler topping, in a food processor, pulse the pecans until finely ground and then add the dates and continue to grind until evenly mixed.
6. Crumble an even layer of the pecan mixture over the apples.
7. Place your pan in the dehydrator at 115 Fahrenheit for about 4 hours. Enjoy! Tastes even better after the first day!

I found this recipe on the Internet, but I don’t remember which site!
It is better then any cooked cobbler!
You won’t miss the frozen Mrs. Smith pies after this!

Oh I just went on Ma Raw's website which is lovely, and she did credit Chad Sarno at the bottom of the recipe.

You say Ma Raw created it? It is in Chad Sarno's book "Vital Creations" word for word, the same...
Anyhow, it is wonderful, perfect and everything apple cobbler should be!

I wanted to give credit where it is due. This yummy recipe (a staple in my house because of it's ease and tastiness) is from the RawTable.com, created by the beautiful and wonderfully creative, MaRaw. Do try this one. It has been a hit among all who've tried this (mostly non-rawbies).

This is definitely yummy. I made it today as a test for one of the desserts I'm bringing down for a Thanksgiving dinner. I was told to bring a baked apple pie but I feel confident this will exceed expectations! :-)
I also made a sweet cream sauce from Alissa Cohen's book as a lovely topping:
blend:
1 cup of soaked cashews
3 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed orange juice
3 Tablespoons of Honey (can use agave)
