Your favorite raw bread or cracker recipe

Hi, I am new to raw, I eat about 75% raw right now and I would like to increase that amount. I am wondering what your favorite raw breads and cracker recipes are. I have made the famous onion bread found on thesunnyrawkitchen website and it was good, but that is the only one I have made. It's fine for every once in a while, the onion was a bit overpowering. I don't have any allergies except to soy. Which brings me to my next question does anyone have a good subtitute for nama shoyu?

I have been lurking here everyday and I am amazed at the wonderful support here!

I am totally hooked on these crackers. Lately I've been adding a bit of nutrional yeast. I make about 2 batches a week. http://www.goneraw.com/recipe/delicious-crunchy-vegetable-crackers They aren't greasy at all, like the onion bread is, I quit eating it because it was too rich. And contain no flax, which I also got kind of tired of. Anyhow, I hope you try them and like them. Everyone I have given them to do!

You can sub in salt for the nama shoyu. I know Bragg's will sub, but I think it is soy based too, isn't it?

Oh yeah, and these, http://www.goneraw.com/node/638, they are fantastic. The above crackers are thick and crunchy, these are lighter and more crisp, I spread the first recipe a little thicker, like a triscuit and these a little thinner.

Hi mckenziepartyof5, I really recommend the carrot crackers on this site - they are amazing. (I would paste the link but last time I tried it didnt work! If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great?!)

  • Thanks so much for the suggestions, I will check them out!
