  • 39.75 – the big 40 in just few months :-0 but I look & feel 28.25!
  • 2-Life.com has free shipping, no sales tax, and if you email them for a wholesale price – you should get a pretty good deal. Good luck!
  • Besides being so tasty, and good for you, Maca is a superb salad dressing thickener! I posted a salad dressing in this site using it. Mmmmmm! (under dressings)

  • Did you buy the Sunfood’s Wild Amazonian Jungle Peanuts? I have some & they aren’t bitter. They just have a milder, ‘plainer’ taste than roasted regular peanuts. Mine digested fine too. Maybe you got a bad batch. Still have the receipt to return…

  • Bleach your seeds? Yuk is right! Soak your jar for a few minutes in a weak bleach solution and let dry. I soak my larger seeds in a jar, then put them in a fine mesh colander, and just spray them down every few hours. Mung beans work especially well…
  • Go to the Food forum- there’s a posting about it on page 1 or 2
  • Popcorn! It’s not considered a sweet, but it’s definitely in the addictive crunchy munchy category.
  • Ooooh! What about tossing them with the tiniest amount of coconut oil and cinnamon? Yum!
  • I used to think that it was okay too, flybaby, until I read this: http://hippocratesinst.org/Volume26Issue4.aspx?... I realize that no one’s perfect, but I have been pretty tough on my body in the past, so I’m just trying to give it ‘rocket fuel’ f…
  • Coffee is acidic!! and it’s a stimulant! & not raw!! I have had 2 cups every morning for the last 8+ years – until last week. I have been cutting it with Teeccino (an herbal coffee) that’s made from carob, chickory, and other stuff. They have t…
  • If I do plant the sprouted berries, and they do grow, I wonder if the greens will taste ‘twangy’? :-) But seriously – I will try and grow them & see what happens. Talk about economical. 1 batch berries = 2 batches of rejuvelac + possible wheatgr…
  • Thanks Chris S! I do try to be extra cleanie weenie! Everything I’ve read said that you can use the same berries and make a second batch, so I drained off the rejuvelac from the berries, and them added more water for the second batch. That’s when I …
  • At what point does ‘fermented’ become ‘rancid’? I’ve made rejuvelac twice in the last 2 weeks, and am scared of it and it’s left over berries. I was even afraid to throw them in the yard for fear of killing a bird or something. ???
  • Saint Augustine Florida!
  • I will be watching this topic too. This will be my first ‘Holiday’ season now that I’m raw. I am not tempted at all by cookies, pie, cooked animal flesh, etc. But it’s the social aspect that will be a challenge. Of course, I’d love to try some great…

  • I’ve been able to quit using “Sensitive Teeth Toothpaste” now that I’m raw, but I have not noticed my receeding gums getting worse or better, so I will start paying attention! My mouth feels good, so I don’t think it’s geting worse.

  • If anyone visits North East Florida, you MUST come to The Present Moment Cafe here in St. Augustine. We have the only Raw & Vegan restaurant in N.E. Florida. I got to-go from there today. So awesome!!
  • I understood that when you soak/germinate the seeds/nuts, that their properties change. If a seed turns into a sprout, the nutritional value, calorie and fat content will change. Right?

  • In one sentence they say “freeze dried” and then somewhere else they say “dehydrated at low temperatures” (but they don’t say how low). Hmmmmm.

  • I had the pleasure of attending a class by Chad Sarno, Chef. His book, ‘Vital Creations’ has exactoly what you are looking for.it’s a small book, actually notebook style, but so great for ideas and for explanations of flavors. store.rawchef.com It h…
  • I used Chia seeds for the first time today. Yummy! I just did a search for them and used them accordingly instead of adding water to my recipe. Flax can get rancid and must be bought from a place w/ high turn-over, and must be kept refrigerated.
  • Try using the ‘Whole Foods’ cycle for smoothies w/ frozen whole foods. I love my Blendtec!! I do wish there was a tamper though, and I do get a bit of air, but only when I have a small amount of food to process. Keep in mind, the Blendtec will fit u…
  • Blendtec 3hp all the way baby! You’ll never get a smoother sauce or nutmilk, and it breaks down greens like nobody’s business!
