  • As a fellow college student I can relate to feeling stressed when it comes to school work. But one thing I’d say is that studying requires the brain to use energy, therefore burning calories, hence causing me to feel hungry (like I need a little nos…

  • I’ve never liked running before but registered to take a running conditioning class through school (to fill up my units) and have grown to really love it. The progression of the course, which has slowly built up my endurance and stamina has really i…

  • Hi NewbyRaw, I live in Woodland Hills (San Fernando Valley), which is near the restaurant/store “Follow Your Heart”. They often carry ready made raw food from raw restaurants in LA. This worked for me when I first began eating raw and didn’t realize…

  • Well I have a few suggestions for your feast. The Broccoli Salad, shared by Crisyn on this site is really superb. It was even boyfriend approved. Plus it was rather easy to whip together. I think it tasted even better the following day, which may co…
  • Hi Karen22, My boyfriend and I have three wonderful dogs (two pitt bull mixes and a blue healer chow mix). We’ve been feeding them an all raw meat, bones, and organ meat diet for around two years now after having done extensive research online (it’s …
  • I’ve tried Burt’s Bees Chemical-Free Sunscreen SPF 15, which worked, but was difficult to blend on my face. However, I just noticed that they have a new product that is a Chemical-Free Sunscreen SPF 30 with hemp oil. The ingredients sound pretty goo…

  • Elizabethh, I’ve noticed the same thing, as I’ve been doing more cardio activities lately too. I feel like I’m not as hungry after an intense workout (would of expected the opposite as well). But I’ve noticed that I really need to rehydrate myself f…
  • Signed it. Thank you for sharing this petition. I have two chickens as pets (whom are allowed free range of our backyard and fed vegetarian feed), and throughout raising them I have learned just how incredible these creatures are and how they can ex…
  • I don’t really know if this is a great deal, but this site was recommended by a raw food chef. They carry raw cacao butter. http://www.organiclivingfood.com/pc-139-4-cacao… Another option might be to check ebay: http://www.search.ebay.com/search/sea…

  • I’ve made the Sweet Potato Carrot Cous Cous by dynamiccoach, on this site, a couple times now. It’s very tasty and rather simple to throw together. Last time I didn’t have pine nuts and substituted hemp seeds instead and it was still delicious. Here…
  • Angie, the barley does grow into grass. It is bitter. Still getting used to it.
  • I purchased a wheatgrass kit from www.wheatgrasskits.com. It comes with everything you need to get started. I ordered the hurricane wheatgrass juicer, which is a manual, and have been pleased with it. (I typically only juice for myself.) I’ve ordere…

  • Thanks for the suggestion. I actually tried that but I didn’t care for it with the barley grass (seemed to make it even more bitter). It’s great with wheatgrass juice though.
  • Thanks so much everyone.
  • Not sure if this is raw, but you can buy powdered all natural wasabi, which is horseradish, spirulina, and turmeric. It is made my ‘HIME Brand’. Whole Foods carries it and I just noticed it at the asian market by me today. All you do is add water to…
  • Yes, that is correct. You use the same container for making the kombucha, the mushroom never has to leave home :). I leave the mushroom in the container the whole time even when I am emptying out the old batch. I usually pour the liquid into a measu…
  • I’ve been following the recipe from this site to make my kombucha: http://www.kombuchaustralia.com/making.html I often double or triple the recipe. 1. I first boil filtered water then add a mix of organic green and black tea bags. 2. Let it brew f…
  • You should check out these recipes by Russel James that were posted on the website gliving.tv.com. He has two recipes for bread and neither one uses soy sauce. I’ve not made them but I have tried other recipes by him and have truly enjoyed them. Her…
  • If you are interested in a ready made dressing the company Bragg’s makes two different salad dressings, one being an all natural sesame and ginger dressing. The Whole Food’s by me carries it for around 3-4 dollars. It’s ‘12 servings’ and the ingredi…

  • After trying wheatgrass for the first time I didn’t particularly like the taste. I’ve found that by diluting the juice slightly with some water and adding some lemon juice (around a Tablespoon or so) really helps to make the drink more palatable. My…
  • I purchased a wheatgrass kit at no other than wheatgrasskit.com. Prior to getting the kit I had never grown wheatgrass before. It is easy and doesn’t require much space to grow. The kit includes a juicer, trays, seeds, dirt, everything you need to g…

  • I really appreciate all the suggestions. So many great ideas. I’m sure I’ll have soft hands in no time. SkyPrincess-Sounds like a very inexpensive spa treatment. Must find something to clean so I can try it! Bluedolfin-I love that you supplied me wi…
  • Awesome. I happen to have some jojoba oil on hand. I’ll have to give that a try too.
  • Thanks for the input Bluedolfin. In the past I have ‘borrowed’ my boyfriend’s disposable latex gloves (that he uses for working on our cars). Forgot about those, I should go ‘borrow’ some more. I believe the weather might also be a factor.
  • That’s funny, I find myself in the same predicament. I feed our dogs a raw meat/bone/organ diet so I wash my hands frequently as well. I’ll have to try the avocado. Thanks for the advice.
