  • Nutritional yeast is pretty easy to find. It’s loaded with B vitamins and has been a traditional vegan staple for years. I get mine at Whole Foods. It comes in a big container. Its a flaky powder and is candida free. It acts as a thickener in sauces…
  • Nuttgirl, I am absolutely not an expert or a doctor and if this continues or worsens you should see a doc you can talk to but… My money is on Candida. Its so common with a dramatic diet change for detox symptoms to manifest in our skin. ( largest or…
  • You are welcome! Have fun with this! The possibilities are endless. ;-)
  • Hi Logan, Gosh I think I may confuse you more here ‘cause my experience is the opposite of Zoe’s (sorry Zoe!) I am all raw now but I still find that I need to food combine. Don’t know why..every bod is different I guess. Anyhoo, when I was starting …
  • Hi again Omshanti, Steeping your tea longer is a good idea. That definately helped me. Here is one more thought since it sounds like the psyllium is pretty harsh for you. I’ have had recent success with liquid bentonite clay ( mixed with water ) and…
  • Omshanti, If you are still feeling bloated and backed up decrease the amount of psyllium that you are ingesting. I did the colonix program too and while it worked I found that my system is VERY sensitive to psyllium and less worked better for me.
  • Avo Cado, Thanks! I wondered what the heck I was doing? I’ll go indent free. ;-)
  • Cath, What about some really simple things like banana or strawberry dipped in raw chocolate sauce. I make my sauce with either agave or maple syrup and add equal parts raw chocolate powder. You say you can’t get coconut butter. By that do you mean …
  • I think Kandace brings up a really good point. Diversity in any community is vital and certain aspects of raw foods work great for some not for others. Personally, I’m raw/vegan but choose not to eat nuts/seeds much and a nut free raw diet might see…
  • Just did the oil pulling post liver cleanse late this morning and my teeth and gums feel great. They have been feeling really sore the past week or so which I have been attributing to candida….hmmm. Crazy, fascinating stuff! I used sesame oil and ev…

  • Writeeternity, I hope you start to feel better. I wish I knew more about the cleanse with a pre-existing bad gallbladder condition. I would do a little more research before I let anyone take out my gallblader! I knoooooow docs say we don’t need it. …
  • Hey Zoe! Congratulations to you and Chris! You did it. And it sounds like it was successful too. Icky but worthwhile. ;-) The eye color thing is cool huh? I’m actually going to do the cleanse again at the end of this week. Cheers.
  • Hi writeeternity, The short answer to your question is..I can’t prove its “real” but my gut (no pun intended) tells me it is. I’m well educated, not overly gullible and balance an open mind with a healthy dose of skepticism. The objects that I’ve el…
  • Well lets see…I guess I passed about a hundred stones.I am really curious to see if more move forward in the next cleanse. My diet has been really great for a few years now but my liver has been through the ringer from meds and steroid shots for a c…
  • Hi All! I DID IT!! Its the real deal. I’m a skeptic no more. Little Mango, I am using Candex for candida. It was recommended from the site womentowomen.com which has some good info on it. Zoe, This is a piece of (raw) cake! hahahah… sorry I think I’…
  • mham, Zoe took the words right out of my mouth. Our cat is a joy not a ‘toy.’ blujett8, The emotional component of the cleanse really interests me too. I’ve been feeling really great on the whole since going all raw 6 months ago. Then all of a sudde…
  • joesc, I actually just did a 5 day juice fast and then a candida cleanse but not a specific parasite cleanse. So we’ll see…...
  • Zoe, The sites I have visited say every two weeks to repeat the cleanse until the gunk runs out. I’m doing the one day cleanse tomorrow. Yikes! :-) I’ll report my results. Mham, I love my kitty. She is an valued part of our household. I am not advoc…
  • OMG! I just went to Shazzie’s sight and I’m a convert. I actually thought about doing this years ago after I had a massive kidney infection but all the naysayers got the best of me. Frankly I started thinking the stones were just congealed olive oil…
  • Thanks Raw_earth! I’m searching high and low and I’m inclined to think its going to fall into the starch category as well.

  • Rawmama, What about a pineapple-mango salsa type thing?
  • Amen sistas!
  • Rawmumma I would definately try an enema. The practice used to be so commonplace but somewhere along the way with the advent of the pharmaceutical industry enemas have fallen out of favor. Not glamorous but effective for cleansing the body of immedi…

  • A recipe book is a great idea sweetpea!
  • I had my first fresh fig a few weeks ago too and it was HEAVEN! The really good ones ( different from the Cali Mission variety but I forget their name) don’t come into season until the fall. I can barely wait! I love the dried turkish figs too but I…

  • Hi Zoe, I guess when I think about it the offending nuts ( the few that I’ve eaten) have been cashews and pecans. So I guess I’ll be dumping them from the menu! Strangely, all truly raw seeds including flax are really problematic too. And your sick …

  • Hi There All, I am experiencing real nut intolerance too. And I am puzzled by it ‘cause its not always been the case.Delicious as they are pretty much any nut clogs me up for days so I’m avoiding them like the plague. Is it perhaps not just a “cooke…

  • Thanks to you both! I am avoiding grains. Seems I have a wheat/gluten intolerance too. So I’m just keeping it simple by avoiding all grains, even the so called safe ones. But I really like the corn chip recipe and the hash brown crackers sound great…
  • Yes, I too get the gurgles! It seems to be more intestinal than stomach-y. I’ve just chalked it up to an active rather than sluggish digestive system. At least I know things are movin’!
