  • True, thecavsman! Also, I well remember(yes, I’m that old) the FDA’s willingness to sell and actively promote the use of dioxin(I can’t spell the proper name!) in over the counter hygiene products when people started to become ill and question the u…

  • Because the government is corrupt, that is why. Can you imagine a government that manipulates, creates wars and slaughters innocents for a buck and Big Business actually creating a cancer info site that is honest and accurate?? Anyhow, my mother, he…

  • I hope that’s not an allergic reaction. Is anyone at home with you?
  • If you want the wide “noodles”, then you can use a cheap vegetable peeler! Of course, you can’t slice the seed part like this, but then again, you might not like that part anyhow. I think Kandace made nice, round slices of the whole zucchini and pop…

  • Sabrina, it sounds like you have some disordered eating habits, which aren’t your fault. My advise to you first off is to stop fasting. If you have any kind of disordered eating problem, fasting is the single worst thing to do for your body. If you …

  • REally, your eyes are just gorgeous all by themselves! If I had a face and eyes like yours, I would walk around parading myself without a drop of make up! I mean, I don’t wear make up now, but I’m soooo bland:P
  • Oats, even organic, tend to not be raw. They are usually steamed to prevent gross things from growing on them. However, I do know sprouting oats are raw(if you want to roll them yourself or just soak them and put them in a processor), but sprouting …

  • A directory or database with that kind of information would be awesome.

  • You know, my skin got dry even though I eat plenty of avocado and flax seed, but I also pee a lot more from the lack of salt! So I think that’s why my skin is so dry. I could be wrong, but I notice that I just don’t hold onto moisture much anymore b…
  • rawbeginner, I don’t know how else to put this and I know it’s gonna sound dumb, but between this post and the last one of yours that I read, I just think you have the most charming way of freaking out I’ve ever seen:-D Totally don’t worry so much a…
  • Okay, thank you all for the answers! Like I said, I’m really an idiot at organic knowledge! I need to find something that will cleanse off this organic wax. I found out that soap and water won’t do it, but I really do love to eat apple skins.
  • I would love to hear personal experience also on this, because in the future if I ever get a house I’ll plant a garden. I used to occasional can eons ago and my limited experience is that vegetables tend to turn to a dark mush if they’re not blanche…

  • Most commerical fruits aren’t blanched before freezing because it turns them to mush, but almost all commerical vegetables are blanched before being frozen, so the enzymes are quite dead.

  • As a woman who was raised by a Catholic parent and a Jewish parent(omg, I know hahaha), I have to say there is no reason for Christians to feel hurt by adverse reactions to the OP. The OP was thoroughly obnoxious, aggressive and out of place. If a M…
  • Meditating, I saw incredibly huge “organic” apples at one of our stores here and I just don’t believe it was organic, either. I mean, I know it’s possible but I didn’t feel comfortable eating that apple, especially since this organic section was ful…

  • Asia and soy: 1) There is no such country as “Asia”. 2) There is no such race as “Asian”. 3) Asia is comprised of many countries and many cultures. Some of these people eat soy and others do not. Any paper or report that makes claims of “Asians” as …

  • Hi, pianissima. I’m sorry; I meant that I can eat the whole zucchini in other dishes. For example, the other week I made a nice gazpacho(sp?) and for the heck of it, I chopped up part of a zucchini. Yummm. Also, when I want a nori wrap, often I’ll b…
  • Amazing, isn’t it?? I never liked zucchini until I made my first raw pasta dish. I didn’t carve up the seed part, just the white part, and I loved it. Now, a few months later, I can eat the whole of the zucchini, thanks to the raw pasta recipes here…
  • That reminds me of the movie “Grandma’s Boy” with a vegan restaurant scene. Utterly hilarious. I love seeing this kind humor in movies. Maybe because my own humor is pretty crass, too, haha.
