  • It’s all relative. http://youtube.com/watch?v=eCJwHY7vL10 What percentage do I strive for? I’m an all-or-nothing type of girl so I strive for 100% always. Otherwise, I feel unsuccessful for some reason. UGH the guilt

  • I’m a picky teenager LOL - I’m not the biggest fan of green smoothies, but I’m getting better. I usually blend bananas and strawberries first to make a strawberry banana smoothie and then slowly add some greens into the mix.

  • I already replied on Give it to me Raw, but just wanted to say I’m really excited :-P
  • In most cases, size and caloric content go hand-in-hand. If you overindulge in an enormous quantity of food, there is probably a good chance of consuming an excess amount of calories. Wikipedia claims “overeating is a behavior that, while generally …

  • I’ve placed my first order and should be receiving by next Friday. I’ll let you all know how it turns out. I’ve ordered the “little box” just to see. Have the NYC Farmers Markets begun? If so, anyone have any recommendations? (price-wise & varie…

  • I looked into the CSA, but had trouble finding one that provided a lot of fruits. Please let us know how that works out.

  • I’m in NJ, but about 15 minutes out of NYC and am really looking for a place to purchase fresh produce for a decent price.

  • I’ve noticed this, too. Thanks for looking into it, Ray.

  • Has anyone seen a substantial weight-loss this month?
  • Nicky: Welcome! I’m pleased to hear your experiences with 8/1/1 and it seems like you are feeling great. I am curious as to what you eat on a daily basis. I know you mentioned that you occasionally eat cooked foods, but otherwise does your diet cons…
  • Bananna: I’m SO with you in July, girl! Right now, I’m facing the Master Cleanse, but will be done with it and reintroducing myself to a high fruit 811 diet early on in the new month.
  • Today was my first successful day and I ended with 88-6-6 :-)
  • pianissima: Thanks for the reply. I don’t know why, but I somehow interpreted this diet to be almost all fruit. I’m glad I can still incorporate my greens and will do so.
  • chicagomama: I spent my first semester of college in the city of Boston and the market below my dorm sold mixed organic fruit salads. They were about about seven dollars and easily held me over until the next meal. I would eat anywhere from 4-6 of t…
  • I love fruit, don’t get me wrong, but eating so much of it and little greens makes me get really strong SAD cravings. What would you all recommend? I don’t want to take two steps backward!
  • El-bo: thank you! I have not read the book yet, but have just ordered it online and I’m waiting on it. I ate purely fruit for about 4 months last fall and it did wonders for me. Unfortunately, the holidays hit and I was home with my family eating wh…
  • Hello! I’ve started the 811 today, but have been lurking this thread for a while. I hope it’s not too late to join~

  • Question- is there anyway I can brew a cold senna tea? The Master Cleanse says specifically not to use a microwave and that is my only means of heat because I don’t have a stove or tea kettle…
in 10 day master cleanse Comment by KAIT
  • Yes, I’ve read that the senna tea can be done both at night and in the morning in lieu of the flush. The senna tea is just less predictable because it could take up to several hours to have an effect whereas the flush is somewhat instant.

  • eefanugget: I should probably mention that I completely failed the MC today! I don’t know what happened. I just woke up in a funk. I think the first 3 days are the hardest to get over. I’m going to buy a boatload of ingredients tonight to make sure …

  • I prefer the senna tea to the flush, but I have read that psyllium husk (which most commonly comes in tablets) can also be used. Right now, all I have in my pantry is the sea salt, but I’m only going to flush when I feel extremely backed up.

  • Today will be my second day and I can already tell it’s going to be rough. I’m not hungry at all, but my brain keeps telling me to eat :( I’m going to add more salt to the flush today to see how it goes.

  • I have started the MC today! I did the SWF this morning, with no results. It’s been over 4 hours since I took the mixture and I am positive that I combined the right amounts of sea salt and warm water. Hm, oh well. I will be using this forum to reco…
