  • I’m amazed… For those that are really corny… there is actually a corn creamer on the Peas and Corn site (I heard about this site on a show recently). Frankly, it looks like a curved mandolin. There are some interesting tools on the site.
  • I know some people are petrified to use a mandoline, but they do work for cutting corn off the cob. :)
  • clr-1976~ I think one of Brad Pitt’s new movies might be about you. The one where he gets younger the older he gets. ;) Sorry to hear about your loss. {{{{{clr-1976}}}}} Much healing energy to you and may you quickly find your dear feline friend in …
  • clr-1076~ Oh good, you have added another smile to the world. :) Did you need to use “Depends”? BTW, in case you don’t know what Depends are, they are adult diapers. teehee. For some great info on formatting a post, check out Tip: Making a link. Whe…
  • Check out this Ninja Cat Video... hilarious. Probably some of you have already seen it. There are also other animal videos including a whole section on “Odd Couples”. Bring tissues and remember to wear your Depends. 80)
  • That is awesome that you are going to sponsor a lion in your dad’s name. Proud papa! :) Sorry to hear about your horse’s past. Glad to hear that you and your horse were able to enrich each other’s life. PS. You are crazy… welcome to party. :)
  • clr-1976~ I just finished viewing the link you posted… my heart is heavy for Christian’s parents. It was totally awesome to see the whole pride together being a “pride” with the guys. The cub teething on the guy made me cry. I wonder if guys had had…
  • Another amazing situation reported recently is at Golden retriever adopts tiger cubs at Kansas zoo. I love the line from the article, “The mother doesn’t know the difference, Harvey said. He said the adopted mother licks, cleans and feeds the cubs.”…
  • mamamilk~ Thankx. But credit goes to elizabethh getting excited on a new thread about the video. I was simply responding to her.
  • FYI… recently some of the news stations have been showing a follow up on the Lion video. There was a documentary made in the ‘70’s about the guys and the lion. For once, the amazing is REAL!!!
  • I just had a funny thought… what do you think the lioness said to the lion after the meeting with the humans? Karuna~ Many understand. :) When I had my four-leggeds, no matter how crappy my day was, when I got home, one of them (or more) would jump …
  • Mon46~ Thank you for your generous comments. It sounds like something is bothering you or you are conflicted over that is not this issue directly. I’m not necessarily suggesting you explore it here if you don’t want to, I’m simply acknowledging it. …
  • Mon46~ Um… well… I (and many others that contribute to this site) am one of those people you talk about. Will you still talk to me? :( I also wonder what will be “obvious” in the future that we are “ignorant” of today. Will plants be considered anot…
  • I was amazed also… and then I had a shift in thinking about animals… of course a lion (or any animal including humans) can communicate about something being safe or dangerous… even a human’s touch. I’m a sucker for the interspecies stuff… sob sob
  • greenghost~ ,\\ // I say “Those that say they are sane are more insane then the rest of us.” ;) Meditating~ Way cool! Hmmm… is there a way to add lavender or something else soothing or lovely to the mix? Maybe put that in a spritz bottle and add whe…
  • Meditating~ Don’tcha just love it when someone calls you nuts and then sees the sanity? I just want to get all 5 yo and jump around with a nasty face saying “told ya so!”. Be we be adult and smile with grace. lol Another idea… I’m stuck on not getti…
  • Would a painter’s drop cloth (actually one made out of clear wrap material) or a vapor barrier used in gardening work to protect your mattress? If so, both would probably provide a savings over a specialized mattress pad. I use a misting bottle to c…
  • You can bring some veggies or fruit with you. Have some veggies prepped in the fridge. Grab a few handfuls and stash in a container or plastic bag. If you get to a restaurant where you can’t find anything to eat, voila, ask for a plate and dump your…
  • Sure bitt~ If their menu includes beef w/ broccoli, they have broccoli. They would have all sorts of shredded veggies (carrots, lettuce) and sprouts. Most Asian menus are chalked full of veggie oriented options and use meat as a seasoning, not “the”…
  • Carmentina~ That’s interesting about your vet and no gloves… Gloves are a two-way barrier… so the vet doesn’t pass on stuff to the animal or from animal-to-animal… hmmmm…
  • Something to think about… In the wild, do cats drink another species’ milk? Ever see a cat milking a cow? Ouch! In the wild, do cats eat fish? It would necessitate a cat going in the water… Even if cats really “go” for a food, does it mean that it i…
  • dreasraw~ I would think that people chose cows and goats because of their availability, temperament (try having a dog or monkey sit still for long periods of time…), quantity procured per milking session, and length of milk producing cycle. Also in …

  • Oh… some of the other things people grow up with… “knowing” peas are grey, slimy, and, mind you, tasteless, from only eating canned peas… double yuck! Those things should be outlawed!!! Veggies have gotten a “bad rap” for many years for a lot of rea…
  • angie~ I agree with you that many people haven’t had “appetizing” raw options. Would you have gone raw if most of your life your idea of raw was a wilty, browning iceberg lettuce “salad” with a cardboard tomato slice? Yuck! Have a awesome class!
  • carrie6292~ My privilege. Cellular communication is a focus of mine so I’m glad I was able to communicate it to you in a way that you understood. If you want to discuss it further, feel free to email me. My best to you and your friend. Whatever the …
  • carrie6292~ ... in a nutshell… A way to think (aka a model) about any “disease” is that the body is saying “I am not getting the resources I need to repair, maintain, and/or regulate myself.” Symptoms are messages of the body regarding these “dysfun…

  • Yeah, ray~ It would be really simple and helpful if only the formatting that you document were the only ones that worked. It would cut down on a lot of the funkiness (and stress) that happens in the posts and people not understanding how to it happe…
  • I believe the line through the text (strike through) happens when there are two dashes in the message (dash text dash). If there is one, the strike through doesn’t happen. If something strange happens in a message, try deleting from where funky text…
  • emtpdmom~ Some CSA's have an "every other" week pickup option. If your local CSA has that option, that might just work for you. Or, you can find someone with which to share your weekly box of goodies. :) The CSA would also be a good source for more …
