  • I third Mon46 & RCBAlive and would add recipes without or minimum amounts of coconut in any form.
  • Marishiesa~ My privilege. I totally agree with you. The FDA gets a vote of no confidence from me. Glad you had a
  • Marichiesa~ I just saw this article about the FDA starting a campaign warning bioavailable hormone companies: FDA cracks down on custom-made hormones. There are some companies that are named that have been contacted… I am posting this incase you had…
  • Mopoke~ Yes, (as of right now it is generally accepted that) there are fat soluble vitamins and minerals and there are water soluble vitamins and minerals. One needs fat for the fat soluble nutrients. The body
  • Mopoke~ You wrote: I know too much oil is not supposed to be good for you but maybe women
  • Marichiesa~ Glad to hear you are putting off going the hormone route. When you say you have been “regular”, do you mean pooping, moods, or something else? Regardless, being “regular” is a good thang. :) I might have giving you the wrong idea about t…
  • If you are interested in reading more about replacing HRT naturally and healthyfully (dealing with hormone issues in general), email me and I’ll send you an article.
  • omshanti (and others)~ You are always welcome to join the party. :)
  • Marichiesa~ The bio-identical hormones have worked for some so whatever works, use it. There are a few concepts of that option that I see as possibly not optimal. One of the “challenges” I see with this type of option is that one “takes a picture” o…
  • Thank you RawJim. It is probably the container that is always heat treated for sanitation. BTW, your kitty pirate pic cracks me up every time I see it. Thank you for that lightness. :)
  • Thank you deborahann~ I’ve been to the Goldmine storefront in San Diego. I should have known. :) BTW, do you like Goldmine’s Raw Olives? Which do you get if there are different ones?
  • I was just thinking… isn’t everything that is bottled or canned heat treated?
  • Hi RMRCLEO~ From the Hippocrates Institute’s Greenhouse site , they sell for sprouting (one would presume they are nontoxic then) Mung Beans, Adzuki Beans, Whole Red & Green Lentils, Fenugreek, Buckwheat, Hard Winter Wheat (for wheatgrass), Alfa…
  • Hi teade~ You can get a “no kill” mouse trap from hardware or home depot type stores. You actually might be able to get one from a drug store (I would call before going there). Here’s a example of a no kill trap that is kinda cute. Have fun…
  • ... At your service… :)
  • Since you are reading this thread, look just above your first post. There is an orangish box. Click that. :) You can also subscribe on the front page of the Recipes and Forums tabs for the respective updates. Is that what you are looking for?
  • Morning_theft~ That’s funny… I’ve never heard of shelled hemp seeds called hemp hearts. I just looked it up. When I saw your post I had envisioned something like an artichoke heart.. wrong! LOL Thankx for the new info!
  • Another idea… Set up with a few friends that you will make them dinner if they buy the food. That way have a dinner with a friend(s). :) Please keep up posted on what you did so others can benefit from your creativity. :)
  • Another idea to build on omshanti’s… In San Diego there is “health spa” that used to be associated with Hippocrates (Optimum Health Institute). They have a dinner on Sunday’s for like $3 that is all raw. Not that I think you should fly to San Diego……
  • Since you are in school, check with your financial aide office about getting an emergency loan or other available resources. If they don’t do emergency loans, they can probably refer you to other resources. My best to you.
  • Have fun at the Outlet Mall. Shopping online for kitchen stuff is much safer for me. I just get what I’m looking for and not the whole store. LOL
  • The peeler mode may work but you might get a “thicker” noodle. The slicer looks really thick for noodles. I have one like this that mades very, very thin spirals and angel hair pasta. Then there is this type that makes thicker but still good noodles…
  • Post a link to a picture of what you are talking about (there are tons of different ones out there). If it looks like this peeler, or a variation of this type, then yes you can made veggie noodles with it. Recently I sliced the eggplant for the Raw …
  • dnacol~ I can understand the concern when there is something that is scary like seizures and the brain. You might find some useful info on the Diabetic Neuropathy thread. Look at the information in a general way, an example of the body healing even …
  • dnacol~ I find it puzzling when people say they have to get “better” before they can start giving their body more nutrition. One hears that all the time when someone is looking into nutrition. Is there a concern you have about eating raw food? There…
  • Bird~ LOL Sounds like you just aren’t a sesame seed fan. In light of that, I’m not sure if soaking/milking sesame seeds is going to help… I guess you just aren’t “into them.” LOL

  • Bird~ Do you find tahini bitter? Just wondering. I would suggest to try soaking the seeds first before grinding and see if that makes a more taste version. You can experiment… try soaking a batch for 2-4 hours then another batch overnight or longer……

  • Hi auntsissy, If you are using hot house (English, the long type) cucs, the skin is usable, nutritious, and tasty. I would peel the other type of cucs even if they are organic. I’m not sure if organic cucs are waxed… Hi germin8, I tried a whole lemo…
  • queenfluff~ Those are my views also. BTW, the place you mentioned as being the best zoo is the Wild Animal Park. It is a sister zoo to the San Diego Zoo. The Wild Animal Park has large multi-acre enclosures where different species roam together. I l…
