hi stylishchick,
I loooked this one up as I was sure I read about it before. I found a reference in “Wheatgrass: Nature’s Finest Medicine” by Steve Meyerowitz. On page 90 he does state the wheat intolerance usually means a gluten intolerance. Wheatgrass has no gluten so should be okay.
Also I recall reading in Ann Wigmore’s “The Wheatgrass Book” something about if you have an allergy or intolerance make sure you do not juice the wheatberry (seed). I had a quick flick through the book but couldn’t find the reference. Maybe someone else can?
Basically, I think it’s okay for you if you don’t juice the berry and it’s the gluten which you have a problem with. Wheatgrass doesn’t contain any gluten.
cheers! 2helix
