Excess fat that you may not know you have, or water weight. When I was vegan, I was 198, and I am 6 foot 8. Meaning I am skinny. When I went raw I lost over 10 lbs, but my muscle tone never changed, They actually started increasing. I can start seeing my defination in areas I thought were strong, but thats because my stomach, back and thighs carried a lot of my fat.
As long as your eating enough calories to keep your muscle weight where you want it, enjoy the excess fat loss :)
thank you for your comment. but i do want to lose more i just can not figure out why i am not losing more than i am right now. like once i did a fruit/vegie with some bread and cheese fast for 21 days and lost 12 pounds. and i have been doing raw for about 21 days and i have only lost 3 pounds. i am just wondering cause i wouls like to lose a little more around the tummy hehe thanks
On raw your body is supposed to even out to its perfect weight. Maybe your fasts helped that, maybe its just taking a little longer. I say continue to exercise and keep being raw and even though it may be slow, it will get to where your body needs it to be to be healthy. :)
It often depends on what types of raw foods you are eating. Some lose more weight on 80-10-10 with high fruits and greens, and others can do that eating all the avocados and nuts they want. It all depends on how your body processes what you’re taking in. Dried fruits and dehydrated as well as the more ‘gourmet’ type raw foods don’t lend themselves to weight loss as much as whole, water-filled foods.
The first time I went raw, I lost weight like crazy (well, 25-20 lbs in about 6 weeks time—so maybe not crazy, but still pretty quickly) eating largely fruits and greens with a few avocados and other fats here and there. But eventually all that fruit made me feel spacey and ungrounded so I added some more fats and my weight stabilized. I also added some raw non-veg things in at that time. But, then I slipped from raw and I’ve since gained that back (and then some) on about 50% raw, 50% healthy cooked. Now I’m doing very high raw and am finding it very difficult to get the scale to budge!
yeah i do have a lot of nuts, avacados, coconut stuff, raw oatmeal but i do have a lot of carrots and salads everyday oh and apples, bananas and i just started to make stuff out of raw food real world. so mabey i am having to much fats. but i to got really grumpy and spacey when i do not have a lot of protien or fat stuff
