Hi Guys,
I was wondering if someone could help me with two very very nice raw chocolate bars recipes. I have looked the recipes in here but I only found one recipe. It was not rated so I am not sure how good it is.
I am looking for a normal/ traditional chocolate recipe and for a second recipe that taste like ferrero roche or nutella (sweet halzenut flavour).
Also, could you let me know how do I do to make it as a bar? I have been looking at chocolate moulds on internet but they have hearts, eggs or rose shapes :-(
Any information / recipe would be really appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
The strawberry girl.

Hi Strawberry girl
Here's a recipe called "Nutella" by Helena Raw Expert http://vegan.editboard.com/poslastice-f29/nutella-t735.htm#6156
But since the " Nutella" recipe is in croatian language, I translated it for you
By the way I haven't tried it myself but the girls who have said, and I quote "It's excellent! I made it today, and I'm thrilled!!!"
Here's the translation of the "Nutella" recipe:
I cup hazelnuts
2 TableSpoons of Raw Cacao
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 TableSpoon of Agave
1 TableSpoon of Coconut oil (but you can asily replace it for flaxseed oil as she did, so just put 2 TableSpoons of flax oil instead of coconut oil)
1 TableSpoon of Flax oil
First grind hazelnuts, then add everything else, except the flax oil (you add flax oil at the end)
Even though "Nutella" is a creme, and not a bar, maybe you can dehydrate if you like the taste. Those wHo tried it, said it's good (or quote "excellent")
Hey Strawberry Girl go to The Sunny Raw Kitchen a fab blog by Carmella and specifically this link
http://thesunnyrawkitchen.blogspot.com/2007/04/all-things-chocolate-or-celebrating.html
She starts here with choc recipes but if you use the search facility for the blog you will find a Ferrero Rawcher recipe (I kid you not!!)
Also Heathy has some great and delish recipes in choc, check out her blog at http://rawgoddessheathy.blogspot.com/, search and find all the goodies she has listed.
These two Raw Girlies are recipe dynamos and if you check out The Raw Freedom Community - http://www.rawfreedomcommunity.info/forum/ - Carmella's forum you'll find tonnes more.
Let me know how you get on as I am a choc freak, but tend to wing it or use others' recipes!!
Great link 3crows! Just about did me in while I am on my detox here, he he. will definitely bookmark it, thanks!
I've made a bar of chocolate by pouring it into a mini loaf tin. Ive posted a recipe for chocolate orange which would work well as a bar. Enjoy making chocolates - Im making boxes for my friends for Christmas.
The best chocolate bar that tastes seriously like milk chocolate is to take a quarter of a cup liquified melted cocoa butter and mix with 1 tablespoon to taste of sweetener, a few vanilla bean seeds, and only around a teaspoon of cocoa powder. I have tried the commercial raw chocolate bars but they are so strong (too much cacao for me) that it's hard to call it chocolate...even stronger than dark chocolate. Most recipes use like a quarter cup of powder but if you want the closest to milk chocolate the key is going light on the cocoa powder.
Ive just found a chocolate mould here
http://www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk/acatalog/Chocolate_Bar_Moulds.html#aHM_2d90_2d5707
Ive not ordered from them and dont know if they ship overseas or anything, but the moulds are out there!
I just want to THANK YOU everyone for helping me with my recipe chocolate bar.
I am very excited :-).....I will let you know how it goes!!
Many thanks again!!

I don't know if they still sell them, but I've seen chocolate bar molds at Michael's, a craft store in the states. A craft store might be a place to look before ordering online and paying shipping.
That sounds good I might just have to try that RKC. Do you know how much 1/4 of a cup of cacao butter weighs? I find it difficult to measure it out when its so solid, what method doyou use?
I take a large chunk or a few medium chunks (if your cacao butter comes in chunks) and around a 1/8 to a 1/4 cup of shavings if it comes in the form of shavings...I agree it's difficult to measure but once you melt it 1/4 cup is the exact measurement.
If you make a nice chocolate fudge by blending seeds/nuts with dates and cacao and then shape them into little bars/logs. Dehydrate them until they firm up a bit. Wrap in parchment and foil and store in the fridge. It's great to just pick one up and go.

Thanks, rawaholic! I've been on the lookout for a recipe similar to that one! Now I can tweak it to my liking instead of trying to create a whole new recipe - that looks great!
That doesn't look very sweet. 1 cup cacao to 2 Tbsp agave?? Shouldn't there be more agave? I wonder the ratios - if i was to use coco butter, coco oil, cacao, and agave. Would it be solid at room temp? I want to make some raw chocolate to sell - so it'll have to stay moderately hard.
Have you tried Russell James' chocolate recipe. It works great for me.
I used it last year to make Easter Chocolates. I am going to use it again
this year too. You could add your own flavoring to the base recipe...such as
hazelnut flavor, peppermint flavor, etc..

I have not tried Carmella's Chocolate recipes yet at
"The Sunny Raw Kitchen". But I am sure they would not let
many down.
Hope this helps.
