Dovesinna, for information on sprouting check out www.sproutpeople.com. They have a nice "Sprout Basics" section here: http://www.sproutpeople.com/grow/sprouting.html . You might also want to do an advanced search on this site to see what other users have said about sprouting and how they incorporate sprouts in their diets.
For some tips and hints on using this site check here: http://www.goneraw.com/forum/site-use-tips-and-hints
EDIT: You don't have to purchase elaborate equipment to sprout. I use pint size wide-mouth Mason jars with cheese cloth over the top. My favorite sprouts are alfalfa and broccoli. I use both in salads and fruit smoothies. They add a "nutty" flavor to smoothies.
You also might want to check out the "New to Raw" section under the Forums tab. The "Newbie Page" ( http://www.goneraw.com/node/7119 ) has some nice sprout links in reply #6.
Hope this gets you started, and welcome to Gone Raw.
Brenda
