Noted! I try to take pictures of the more attractive dishes. I also would like to post multiple photos (step 1, step 2, etc.) but that will have to wait for a future upgrade!
I think it's fine to ask for pictures if you want them, but people with full-time jobs, lives outside of posting a recipe on an internet forum, and people who are hungry may not want to take the time to plate the food in an attractive manner, take a million photos to try to get a good one, resize, etc.....there's a lot more to it than some people may think, and you definitely need a decent camera.
So I am thankful when there is a picture, but just like recipes, you can't EXPECT these things from people. They are already giving enough, and we should appreciate what they do do, not complain about what they don't do.
But thanks for the reminder that photos are helpful. Maybe your creativity will be inspired as you go on further in the raw lifestyle and you think of ways that YOU want to do things for yourself! :) That's always exciting.
I always try to take pictures as personally - I like visuals too! I understabd and support the importance. I also think it helps allure and mentally seduce many new comer's taste buds. Raw food aka REAL FOOD looks and feels beautiful. Not everyone can imagine what certain things taste like together so they resort to pictures for stimulation... some just like to look *thank Heaven for food porn*, others like to not "how" their recipe should turn out/look, some are curious, others looking for ideas, etc. So yes, if you can - please take 1 minute out of your preperation time and seal wth deal with a sweet kiss of visulization!!!
Thank you all for your beautiful selves and offerings.

Ps. Who kept trying to post pictures of my coconut-chocolate-cherimoya recipe last night but Gone Raw was not uploading it properly? It has not done that with any of my other recipes which contain pictures in the size size/format as the one I tried uploading last night.
I think I may have offended some of you....which was not my intention...
You didn't offend me at all :) I had to laugh, I eat with my eyes first too and my books without photos are opened only after the books with photos. Alisa's book does have some delicious recipes, but I would only find out by having a sample of already-made dishes at a raw food dinner I go to (dishes made by other people). It's sad that I hadn't given them a try before those dinners on my own, but honestly I didn't because of...you guessed it...no photos to encourage me to give it a try :) So I can relate. Will post photos whenever possible...
No, I'm sorry your post wasn't offensive at all! I was just trying to post my thoughts and others' thoughts on taking pics at times, especially when hungry and wanting to dig in already! :)
On hungry people...when my husband is hungrily awaiting dinner and he sees me fetch the camera, he knows he's about to have a good meal!
I had some "food porn" on my camera and was showing a friend some of the recent dishes. He whined, "WHY are you showing me pictures of food I can't eat??" I thought it was funny.
