Ok, so I've realised I keep discovering a dish, then I become totally obsessed with it and want it all day everyday! I have it for a couple of weeks maybe, then gradually move on to something else. My current love affair is with buckwheat porridge.
I soak my buckwheat overnight, then blend with a banana, couple of soaked dates, dash of almond milk (or date soak water) and cinnamon. It goes warm after blending for a while and then I stir in blueberries to serve. OMG - It's to die for! Not sure if it's because winter is here but it's just so comforting and keeps me full for hours.
So....moving onto the actual point of this post, I was just wondering was what everyone else's current obsession is right now?
Comments
Dates with almond butter.
I know what you mean! currently, these are my obsession:

Guacamole! Although I don't know how "current" it is. I think I am almost always obsessed with it. :)
sesame oil!!! it is so much more flavor than olive oil.
Grapes!
arugula -- darling got me some through his wholesaler -- 4lbs of organic arugula for $16
BANANAS!
I have been eating so many lately!
And your creation sounds delicious, i made something very similar and posted it on my blog a while ago. YUMMY :)
Mangos! All summer long I have eating so many Organic Mangos that the man at my local Ingles who gets stocks them knows me by name. I go through anywhere between 3-6 a day.
For me, this time of year it is cranberries and pomegranates. I love them both, although one takes a little more work than the other to get to all the goodness inside.
So cool! I blend a banana with a little water, stevia, vanilla and a pinch of salt and pour over blueberries and strawberries. I lovelovelove this.
Oh, that does sound good DD!
Banana Apple Chai Smoothie. I've had at least one a day for the last 2 weeks. I can't get enough! My mouth is watering right now for one... :P
Currently, my home made salsa!
Avocado dip! I cut some corn off the cob, chop up some celery and onion, add sea salt and a little olive oil to it, and dip veggies in. Yum!
also, as my name suggests, grapefruit :)
Cashews. Plain & Salted.
and most certainly, SQUASH.
I love to bake it, boil it, roast it, throw in in a soup, you name it, I like it!!!
carrot-apple porridge
two carrots, one apple, a couple of dates, cinnamon, and a dash of water in the blender; poured over chia seeds and raisins. it's got this great consistency, like souffle. sweet and good. i love putting that color into my body. i've been having it for breakfast almost every morning for two weeks.
but i'm thinking about trying that buckwheat porridge sv3's been eating tomorrow morning. that sounds super good too.
banana apple chai smoothie? is that recipe in here somewhere? sounds like an obsession waiting to happen.
OOooohh I love the sound of that tangerina. I will give it a go sometime soon! Maybe that can be my next love affair....
mmm feel like sharing this recipe ;)
AVL: I've just finished a grapes obsession! I adore red grapes. The bigger the better!
Currently I'm going through a fats obsession. Avocados, nuts and seeds. I just cannot get enough of them. I'm not usually this fat obsessive. I've been on an MSM megadose cleanse for 3 weeks and am wondering if it's anything to do with that? Some research is required.
Still very much into grapes! I have had them for lunch everyday for more than a month!
Oh, ya and I'm still obsessed with any type of melons...breakfast everyday since July!
I know, my diet is not very varied, but I like it like that and I just eat what I like until I get sick of it!
Sprouted peanuts!! They're amazing!
stellajewels, can you post your recipe for banana apple chai smoothie, that sounds amazing! chai is spiced tea, isn't it? i never know which spices go into it. do you make it with real tea or with some sort of mix?
frozen bananas blended with two thirds of cacao powder, one third of mesquite powder and agave or Yacon to taste. Can't get enough of it. Funny, I have always liked chocolate, but since going raw (or trying, anyway), I am just ravenous for chocolate. Any explanations, anyone?
I'm juicing now, but while juicing, I tend to only want to juice grapefruit - I could juice them as my meal every single day and never get tired of them...
When i'm done juicing (today is my 12th day and I'm not sure how long i'm doing it for), I'm going to be trying out some new recipes, so i'm sure i'll find a new obsession then :)
Try this since it's the best EVER! Frozen banana chunks, frozen fruit (or not frozen berries and things), some coconut milk, almond milk and a blender. Depends on what you like... I like it super mega frozen like ice cream, but some people add more almond or rice milk to it and make it not as thick.
I'm in winter mode, so for me its savoury dip with raw tahini, blended parsnips, scallions, lemon juice, olive oil, water and curry powder. Spread on onion bread.........
Yes, I second Pomegranites!!!
banana and date smoothie.
mmmm I'm majorly into greens all the time but since it 's winter and grapefruit is in season I'm so all over it....basically any citrus
Green smoothies made with spinach! I've got a new recipe up at my blog & photos!!!!
also my raw vegan brownie batter & tostadas!
It's amazing!!
