  • A saw online a few months back a stainless steel disc, like the ones you can use for your hands, that you wipe under your arms to get rid of body odour. I didn't think much of it until I had to leave the house in a bit of a rush one evening and got …
  • Gosh, thats a very visible change isn’t it? I think you also looked gorgeous before though, especially in the moment of joy holding that lovely baby. I am very impressed with your radiant skin… the perfect advert for raw :-) And such a happy smile t…

  • Enzymes denature (die) at 60°C, 140°F Phew, that Degree in biology has finally paid off… it wasn’t going to get me a job in the field, I can tell you that! ;)
  • Are the foods ‘easy’ to get hold of, are are they all things with ingrediants such as Maca and Lacuma… which I can’t get in the shops here :(
  • Had my weekly weigh in… and I’ve lost more weight :( Think I’ll have to put off a detox till I’m back at a healthy weight. I think it’s more important for me to concentrate on that right now than the detox… which is a shame really.
  • I have to add coco to my smoothies? How will I cope? ;)
  • This is very good news :) And yes, Motive changes perception. Before you were raw because you needed too, now it’s a choice, you’ll find it more instinctive. I might just have to have a pink smoothie in honour of you and your lovely hair tonight :)
  • Don’t be hard on yourself. You are making a big change… for some people it’s like switching on a lamp…. others of us find it about as easy as lighting a wet candle in a storm with only a flint! Also, change one thing Branwyn…. try not to think about…
  • Waves hand around I wonder how many of us are moonsynched I’ve been chomping away like mad… first month raw vegan (former veggie) and I could merrily sit in front of the fridge and plough my way through it all!
  • Congrats Waterbaby! Big surprise, I don’t actually like traditional chocolate all that much ;-) I stopped eating it for about 3 weeks, and when I went back for a taste I thought ‘It’s alright, but not really that nice’ However, I love avocado & …
  • Gosh, so many of us now. It’s great :) At the moment, I’ve not got any raw books. I have to say, I find there are a lot of good recipes on the internet, and at the moment I don’t feel I need one. I’ve signed up to loads of feeds using Google Reader,…
  • Gosh – Look away for two seconds, and all this appears! Debs – I grew up in Thame :) Clare – Dehydrator arrived. Dyhydration -> Raw bread + Sweet Potatoe crisps + Corn Chips = Full Ms Derious! Hi other UKians (Real word, honest) Perhaps we should…
  • What are you having in the smoothies?
  • Hmmm… I think you might be right about the fats thing. They can make me feel very bloated too. I tend to try not to eat smoothies in the evening as (for me) they can just sit in my belly later on in the day. Don’t know why.
  • UK – Home of raw fail ;-) If you are feeling a bit rough, some ginger or peppermint or ginger in hot water will help. My think that seems to be helping with the ‘not feeling rough’ element is avoid eating too much fruit too close to any veg based me…
  • Don’t tell anyone… but I had Tacos the other night. Vegan ones… but certainly not raw. Yep. I think at least 1/2 of my cals and protein are coming from puddings. Sweet, yummy, coco laced puddings. :-D
  • Still waiting for the dehydrator to turn up! However, they did take payment on Friday, so I hope that means it’s been dispatched :) Have fallen marginally off the raw wagon over the weekend, but stuck to vegan, so not to bad. Problem is I’m trying t…
  • Newbury’s more than doable :) I’m thinking, if the weather is nice next time you are visting, Raw Picnic :)
  • I think it’s a bit of both. Well, so far thats Clr-1976, Springleaf, Zoe and me in the UK… I hope that’s not all of us ;-) I think I’ve seen a UK raw forum somewhere, maybe a Yahoo group, but I don’t think it was very active.
  • Pebble Lane is the road that leads up from Kingsbury (Where the fountains are) into the church. As you are standing looking from the two centre, its the left hand side. It’s an odd store, they always have unusual fruits outside, and inside dry foods…
  • Hey hey :) I live fairly near Ellen Road, on the Oxford side of town. Yep, you are right on potlock. I was guessing too. I checked Wikipedia, so there is always a chance it’s not accurate ;) Those things have always kind of put me off as a long time…
  • Spooky! I’m new and I’m an Aylesbury duck too :-) I’ve lived in the area all my life, and have never met another ‘raw person’ face to face, that I know of :) I’m very new to raw foods, so you might not trust my raw ‘cooking’ in a pot luck just yet, …
  • Zoe, Thank you so much for your well drafted and very informative reply! It’s very much appreciated. 1) Today I bought with me today a bit of raw dressing and a loooooooad of nuts! I foresee a lunch with a big bowl of salad. I unfortunately forgot b…

  • Fruit isn’t just bred to be sweet, it’s bred to have a big crop. Lovely sour, tangy apples are the last think on big growers minds. I often use cooking apples because I prefer the sour taste. Yum! I wish I had a time traveling device so I could go b…
