  • I don’t pay the LEAST bit attention to food combining and I feel fine. Only worry about it if it makes you feel bad. If eating watermelon with something else makes you feel sick, by all means don’t do it, but don’t get caught up in other people’s do…
  • yes! all the time, it’s weird…but I also think part of it is due to where I am and me not being happy here. Can’t wait till I’m home again!
  • Personally I think you can find any evidence or research that suggests EVERYTHING is toxic. Air is toxic, but I won’t stop breathing! If you want to do this then go for it, but unfortunately I don’t think there is a good substitute as far as taste g…
  • I love dehydrated food. I have an excalibur, and even though I have heard good things about other dehydrators, I would rather shell out the money for one that works really well.
  • Wow I have to admit too I sometimes eat Ezekiel and Manna breads. They are soooo good! Other than that I am all raw, but I do like making complicated food. Greenie-It is not for fear of anything, it’s because I ENJOY it. I like preparing, chopping, …
  • I love it too! Makes me feel great! Well, I don’t know about you, but I am not against fermented foods…I eat kimchi and pickles (made by me of course!) and fermented cheeses etc. I imagine it being in the HOT sun as you say would be akin to it being…
  • I have heard that too, I am not to worried about it, but at the same time I usually max at 115 degrees because I am not ever dehydrating just cacao or agave and the other things are sensitive. However, I often turn my dehydrator onto 145 for an hour…

  • Yeah, sorry but I know for a fact detox is real. When I stopped eating cooked and suddenly my skin broke out, I was tired all the time, my head was foggy: definetly detox. Withdrawal does not make your skin break out. Then all of that suddenly went
  • You can make chips, they are NOT toxic. Best to massage them first with a little olive oil, then soak them in lemon juice and water for a couple of hours. Then massage again and dehydrate with a spritz of oil.
  • That is EXACTLY how I feel! Don’t worry about what’s there and what is cooked and what you WON’T eat, worry about spreading joy and making new memories with family (and what delicious and scrumptious and divine raw desserts you will bring!)

  • JoyceH, sorry I wasn’t trying to be rude or anything. The thing is, and it seems like you are NOT one of these people, but they exist, there are so many hateful vegans it can get a bit overwhelming. People get wrapped up in so much dogma that they f…

  • I have the machine and they are totally worth every penny. I did a project on them and it was great. There is tons of evidence for their use and they really do work. I feel it after each session.

  • Wow thanks again to you all, Zoe and crystalbat, this is interesting. That being said, I don’t want you to feel that I am knocking you for your habits (just as I don’t want to feel like I am being knocked for my own) but not consuming the so-called …

  • sorry adesmond, it just doesn’t interest me to give it up at all. I have gone long periods without it and I feel worse if anything. Garlic is not toxic, because if it is, everything is. Every food has toxins and our bodies are capable of fighting th…
  • HAHA! I like what you said Luna Blu, how true! I for one am not going to worry about a garlic clove here and there. Plus it taste so good!
  • No, I actually have gone for days without it (maybe even a week or longer) and feel awful. I think it has a great energy and you can’t beat the taste!
  • I feel so bad for those whom it seems nuts don’t work out! I love them and they love me. I am sorry to disagree with you chakra essence but I don’t feel it is best to avoid them. I need them to make me feel satisfied and also to provide good tastes.…
  • Well first off, she is only 15 months old, so detox would be mild if any. How was her diet before? Full blown SAD or more like whole foods omnivore? Try making baby foods, if she won’t do smoothies, things like applesauce and of that nature. Good lu…

  • Honey is perfectly acceptable on the RAW diet. It is about what is confortable with you. If you are against it, then don’t do it! I however will never cut out honey from my diet.
  • Yep that’s the one I used to work at. Yeah it is too bad Great Sage isn’t raw or even have raw options. I always wished they would add a few.
  • I can’t remember Zia’s website, but if you search Zia’s of Towson on google, it comes up. Zia’s doesn’t have too many raw food options, but they did just have a raw food dinner as someone mentioned. I understand that you are young rawclaire but mayb…
