  • The softer ..the fresher I was told. Bee polen freezes well, so I freeze all that I am not using for the week. I put it in smoothies now, but before I had my mixer I used to pour out about 2 Tbs. and just dip a banana in it for breakfast. The banana…
  • I add bee pollen and chia seeds to my smoothies. I think that adds a lot of protein too.
  • It makes a bit of difference WHICH kind of avocado you are using too. Also how ripe it is. In my opinion the Hass is the best and tastiest one. It has the bumpy texture on the outside. The smoother ones like Fuarte are winter avocados and are more b…

  • I have heard that vinegar or lemon juice will actually “cook” fish too.
  • Izhpt…you blend the goji berrys in the blender with the other stuff, right? ...or do you had them later like raisons?
  • Does it melt or get all gooey after you take it out of the freezer? Do you store these in the freezer or fridge? Thanks for the recipe. Marcy
  • RawNutrition….why do you peal them instead of just adding the whole things? If you peal them does it come out more smooth, or what? Seems like a lot of work (I have no help here) unless the end result is a lot better. Marcy
  • I have chia seeds. Just soak them in a little water (about a cup to 2 TBS seeds) and when it soaks up, it becomes a gel-like egg white. I have some recipes in a chia seed book that say you can substitute this for egg in recipes. Marcy

  • I bought some the other day but am not used to sprouting myself either. I usually buy sprouts from the farmers market on Sat. However she never has buckwheat ones. How do you know when they are ready? Is it when they get little tails, or do they ha…
  • You have to be sure to get a “coconut palm”. There are hundreds of different kinds of palm trees. It would be neat alright to have your own. Some kinds grow fast too. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about them being soaked in anything toxic.
  • What is SWF?
  • After reading somewhere that the “paint strainer” bags at Lowes or Home Depot are the same thing as the nut milk bags, I went & picked up a bag of them. They come 2 to a bag and are found in the section where paint supplies are. They are MUCH ch…
  • Hmmm….well I could just mix the fruit with fruit juice then or water & ice. Does that also mean I should not add the bee polen or chia seeds, etc?
  • How about soy milk? I have been adding that to my smoothies. I don’t get the food combining thing. Are you not supposed to add milks to fruit or something? Marcy
  • I have been using “Greens +” It tastes bad, but I chug it down anyway because of the health benifits. Do you know how that one comepares to the Vitamineral Green or the Green Magma? Marcy
  • Elizabeth…do you put any dressing or anything on those sprouty salads? Marcy
  • I have also been adding a lot of Chia seeds to things. After reading that book, “The Magic of Chia” I am convinced they are truly a great superfood that we should be using now that they are available. Marcy
